Whether you want to maintain your good health and prevent chronic conditions or improve your health, national organizations such as the Center for Disease Control recommend 30 minutes of physical activity several days a week. Studies also show that even small increases in your physical activity can have positive effects on your health. At LifeSpan, we are truly committed to helping increase physical activity levels of people in their homes, at their places of work and in their communities. We recognize that for many of us, young and old alike, exercise is no longer limited to improving sports performance or enhancing appearance. Exercise has become a necessity for good health. We designed the HOME series line of cardio equipment to meet the needs of more than 60% of the population that prefer to exercise in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Each product is designed and manufactured to meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and durability and with features that are meaningful and innovative. Features that make them safe to operate in the home, features that make them comfortable and easy to use, and features that can be used to increase levels of daily activity. Attention to detail has earned us a gold medal award from the Industrial Design Society of America for Best New Consumer Product of the Year, and multiple awards such as Best Buy and Best New Product from Treadmill Doctor and leading consumer magazines. Aerobic exercise strengthens your heart Treadmills Treadmills continue to be the most popular and widely used piece of home exercise equipment, and are a natural fit for America’s favorite exercise. Thirty-six percent of participants in an AARP’s Physical Activity Survey, 2006 overwhelmingly picked walking as their favorite type of exercise, more than double the percent for any other exercise. As a result, step programs are increasingly popular. According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, programs promoting step goals, such as walking 10,000 steps per day, can encourage people to exercise enough to reap health benefits. Most programs estimate 2000 steps equals approximately one mile, which could translate into expending an extra 100 calories a day or losing 10 pounds a year. Health benefits are numerous, including and lungs and improves blood flow. Although walking is the most popular form of exercise, jogging and running are still favorites for those seeking a great cardiovascular workout in a short amount of time. Running is one of the fastest ways to burn calories and increase your stamina. Treadmill features such as pace, distance and calories burned can help you monitor your exercise activity and achieve your goals. Whether you walk, jog or run, your treadmill must support your lifestyle. Your treadmill becomes a part of your home and your family and it must work with the way you live. You may be one of the 62% of older adults the Cooper Institute found who prefer to exercise in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Or you may be one of the millions of people who would rather exercise at home than hire a babysitter and spend valuable time traveling to a gym. Regardless of your lifestyle, LifeSpan has done the research to design treadmills that you will enjoy using and will support your exercise needs. Invite a LifeSpan HOME Series treadmill into your home and enjoy exercising for years to come! disease prevention and management. Mayo Clinic TR1000-HRC If you like to walk, you’ll love the TR1000-HRC. This easy to use, quality treadmill is loaded with features designed specifically to meet the needs of walkers. Walkers prefer to stay on the front third of the treadmill belt while walking, up close to the console, and often prefer to keep their hands on the handlebars while exercising. Programs that adjust the incline, not the speed are more commonly used and step counting is becoming the most common gauge of daily activity for many walkers. To address these needs the TR1000 has handlebar speed and incline controls so that you don’t have to remove your hands from the handlebars to change the speed or incline. It includes 3 different Incline programs plus Distance programming that allows you to preset the distance from 1–10 miles and a Heart Rate Control program. Monitoring your heart rate is simple using the contact pulse grips or the chest strap receiver and optional chest strap. Motivation The TR1000 comes with a large variety of programming to fit your exercise needs. Workout programs include 3 Speed programs, a Distance program that lets you preset the distance from 1 – 10 miles, and a Heart Rate Control program. You can get started working out quickly and easily using the Quick Speed buttons, then monitor your progress Heart Rate Receiver using the 3 Window LED Display. Handlebar Toggles Specifications The drive system includes a 2HP Continuous Duty Motor, 2” precision ground tapered rollers, digital controller board, ¾” deck and 2 ply belt using our long lasting wax and silicone lubricant blend. We place these components on a strong robotically welded steel frame Deck Suspension that uses our isolated frame folding system. This design keeps the console completely stable while the ¾” deck and 8 shock suspension system absorbs the impact of your foot strikes and reduces the wear and tear on your knees, hips and back. We back up our components with a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, and a 3 year warranty on the remaining components. “Love the treadmill. This is definitely not a clothes rack, it gets used!” Beth B., Walnutport, PA TR2000-HRC Safe, Durable, and Compact – If these qualities come to mind when you’re thinking about your next treadmill the TR2000-HRC is for you. We’ve combined safety features, like wrap around handlebars and a front safety bar, with high end components and packaged them in a unique small footprint design. The TR2000 gives you everything you need to enjoy walking or jogging in your home, without the space concerns of most treadmills. By moving the motor and electronics underneath the treadmill belt the TR2000 is up to 18 inches smaller than other treadmills, yet still offers a spacious 20” x 56” running belt. This space-efficient design makes it ideal to use in any room of your home. The EZ-Drop folding system and rear frame wheels let you quickly and easily fold and store your TR2000 to save even more space. Because of the small footprint, the folded upright position is at a height most anyone can maneuver. The small size, however, doesn’t reflect the quality and durability of this highly successful treadmill. The TR2000 is built on a heavy steel frame and uses a 2.5 HP Continuous Duty high torque motor, 2.5” precision ground tapered rollers and oversized side rails, giving it a 350 lb maximum user weight. Advanced Console The TR2000 console includes a dual color backlit LCD display, Quick Speed and Incline buttons, and conveniently located water bottle holder and storage areas. The advanced assortment of programming builds on the programming offered on the TR1000, with Heart Rate Receiver 2 User Setup programs, an Interval Heart Rate Control program and Body Mass Calculation. Plus, the TR2000 includes a unique Decline feature so you can actually walk downhill. Safety The TR2000 has a variety of safety features built into the design. Our space-efficient, “walk through” design lets you get close to the console and handlebars, without kicking or stepping on the front hood as you exercise. A safety bar in front of the console gives you an additional hand grip area. The wraparound handlebars provide stability and give you extra security in case you lose your balance. Finally, the side rails overlap the treadmill belt to prevent fingers, shoelaces or other items from getting under the belt. “As a busy mother of four active kids, I have come to rely on my LifeSpan TR2000 treadmill. It helped me train for the Army Ten Miler and I had a great finish! Thanks” Renee M., Mohnton, PA TR3000-HRC If you’re looking for a folding treadmill that you can run on with confidence, look no further than the TR3000-HRC. Not only does it include advanced programming and a variety of features, the TR3000 is even stronger and more powerful than our popular TR1000 and TR2000 treadmills. The TR3000 gives you the features and durability an avid runner should expect. With its large 20” x 56” running surface, the running belt has ample room for long stride lengths, even if you run at 12 mph. The isolated frame design separates the impact of your foot strikes from the base frame and console post, so the console remains stable even during high intensity workouts. The impact of your foot strikes is isolated to the 1” deck, 8 shock suspension system and high strength, steel welded frame. All of these features are complemented with sturdy aluminum side rails and our wax and silicone lubricant blend for long-lasting durability. Advanced Console The TR3000 gives you the same advanced programming as the TR2000, including programs for Speed, Incline, Distance, User, Heart Rate Control, and Body Mass Calculation. In addition to motivational programming, the TR3000 console offers an extensive list of features including Quick Buttons for Speed and Incline, 2 color backlit Heart Rate Receiver display, built in chest strap receiver, and water bottle holder and storage areas. For added comfort the TR3000 lets you control your speed and incline using buttons on the handlebars. The TR3000 uses a 2.75 HP continuous duty motor, with 2.5” precision ground rollers, and an 800 lb thrust lift motor to give you optimal performance and reliability. Maintaining your TR3000 is simple with our silicone lubricant. Lights on the console will tell you when it’s time to lubricate your treadmill belt. LifeSpan treadmill lube, good on all HOME Series treadmills, provides the longevity of wax lubricant with the ease of use of silicone. “I am a nurse who works odd shifts. My LifeSpan treadmill is so quiet I can use it any time of day without disturbing my family. I like the handlebar controls and the easy to use console. Thanks for a quality treadmill!” Heather D., Dalton, GA “The space efficient design of the TR2000 makes it ideal for anyone living in an apartment or condo. This is a well-constructed, good value home treadmill.” Leading Consumer Products Review Company Best New Product of the Year, 2003 and 2006 Treadmill Doctor “An amazing treadmill. Because exercise bikes are low impact and joint friendly you can enhance your cardiovascular fitness and strengthen and tone your muscles while benefiting from going through a full range of motion in your knees and hips. Finally, bikes are one of the safest pieces of exercise equipment to use and they don’t take up much space so you can use them anywhere in your home. Upright exercise bikes have been around a long time, and most closely simulate actual outdoor bike riding. Recumbent bikes were introduced to further minimize the stress and impact on the lower body. If you are overweight or have shoulder, back, hip or knee problems, a recumbent may be more desirable because you recline in a comfortable seat and take more of the gravity and weight off your legs while you work out. Which one is best for you? It’s really a matter of personal preference. Both types of bikes provide an equally good cardio workout, and both are comfortable and easy to use. The one you’ll use is the one for you! life on five or more days a week is needed above and beyond the usual activities of daily LifeSpan bikes are designed with all these factors in mind. Our upright and recumbent bikes are quiet, smooth and durable so you can enjoy exercising in any room of your home. We use only the highest quality components and construction processes for long-lasting durability. Quality extends beyond our bikes to our excellent warranties and outstanding customer service. Because we focus on the details to create superior products, you can focus on exercising for a healthy life! to really reduce your cancer risk. American Cancer Society C2 & C3 Upright If you like riding outdoors, you’ll love riding indoors on a LifeSpan upright bike without the elements of weather. Quiet, comfortable, and durable are all qualities of the LifeSpan C2 and C3, making them ideal for exercising anywhere in your home. The ergonomic design provides maximum comfort, safety, efficiency and ease of use. Multi-position handlebars and an oversized plush seat add to your comfort. Poly roller wheels make moving and storing your bike safe and simple. For a smooth ride at any intensity workout level you need a solid, durable drive system. All LifeSpan bikes start with an oversized flywheel that is over 12” in diameter. The conductive ring is on the outside of the flywheel to maximize the inertia and give you more coverage than if it were on the inside. A 3 piece crank set, high quality sealed bearings, reinforced Poly-V belt and high quality pedals transfer your workout energy quietly and smoothly to the flywheel and oversized magnet carrier that provides frictionless resistance. The result of our attention to details like these is a quiet, smooth comfortable ride on a bike that will last you for years! The C2 upright and R2 recumbent bike share the same display console, as do the C3 and R3 bikes. These consoles are simple to operate and will motivate you to enhance your fitness level. C2 Console Features The C2 has an oversized LCD display with a storage tray for your personal items. A variety of readouts let you monitor your workout progress. C3 Console Features The C3 console includes an 8 x 16 LED program matrix that shows each program workout profile and an LED display panel that shows Time, Distance, Speed, Average Speed, RPM, Watts, Calories, Program Level and Heart Rate. Workout programs include Heart Rate Control, Interval, Weight Loss, Mountain and Race, each with 16 different intensity levels! While you’re enhancing your fitness level, you can easily read a novel or watch your favorite TV show. Before you know it, you’ll burn more calories than you expected! “I’m a large lady with a bad back. This bike is comfortable to use, yet sturdy enough for me to get a good workout without being concerned that it would collapse under my weight. It’s adjustable so my husband, who is 8 inches taller than I am, can use it comfortably too. It’s worth every penny.” J.V., So. Not only does working out with a rowing machine improve your cardiovascular fitness. It’s joint friendly and works muscle groups in both your upper and lower body as well! And surprisingly, most rowing stroke work, 65-75%, is leg work while 25-35% is upper body work. Using a rower you can work as hard as you like, depending on your energy level and training needs. Because it works the back and upper body, it’s a great complement to other forms of cardiovascular exercise. “Exactly what I was looking for!
