The input and output modules are fundamental elements for controlling the automation in the he¡ home automation system. These elements are indispensable to create the connections between the home automation system and the devices that need controlling. The input modules, normally connected to classic buttons, let you send the command signals via the he¡Bus connections. The output modules let you command any operators (gate, shutters, garden sprinkler, etc) depending on the logic you have programmed. HOW THEY WORK Each module, connected via he¡Bus connection, receive while programming an own ID number, called serial number, which distinguishes it from all other modules in the system. In the same way, each single input is identified by its own serial number assigned to its module and by its own progressive number (e.g module 3 input 2). In the same way the single output shall be identified by a module serial number and by its own progrssive number (e.g. module 5 output 4). An input can therefore send an activation command to an exit indicated as such. Moreover, the outputs must be divided into logical areas (in this case zones in the same area will receive the same command). 49 49 DIGITAL INPUT MODULES The modules described here are compatible with all systems on the market today, doing away with any aesthetic or structural limitations. Digital entrance modules for installing in flush-mounting-boxes They are designed to be housed in the flush-mounting boxes of the most common series found on the market. Easy to install, they can be easily used even when restructuring. Digital, opto-isolated input module for installation from DIN guide Can be installed within normal electrical panels. The input stage, realised via an optical isolator, totally insulates the device from the rest of the system, and so guaranteeing a very high level of protection from any electro-magnetic disturbances. h o m e e v o l u t i o n i d e a COMMAND TYPES Through he¡Bus, the input modules can send to their outputs the following commands: Single command Single output activation command, for ouputs identified by an address number *e.g.:module 5 output 2). Zone command Activation command for all the outputs belonging to the same logic zone. Multiple command Up to 8 different commands with as many outputs. This mode is for differentially controlling all connected functions, resulting in a proper SCENARIO without inserting any additional specific equipment into the system. Remote command The module sends, through the he¡Bus connection, the status of the input. This function lets the system process the statuses of the various outputs according to programmable logics. he¡Bus To output modules >> IN 1 IN 2 C S + - IN 7 IN 8 C 001DD8IOPTO IN 3 Buttons 50 IN 4 C IN 5 IN 6 C 001DD4IS 001DD8IS 001DD8IOPTO 4 digital input module 24 V DC Use to connect up to 4 buttons or technological signal contacts. The output modules are fitted with relay outputs with contact in C-NO free from potential. Each single output has a local command button on the module to check contact status (only for DIN bar modules). This feature lets you manually command the electrical load to the output, independently from the bus signal. Moreover, even in emergencies, you can always activate or deactivate the various connected electrical utilities. A LED warning light tells you about output status. All outputs feature a status memory. If power is cut off, the relay contacts memorise their idle status and return to their original position (ON or OFF). Moreover, the memory modules feature a bi-stable relay output which maintains the status even when the power is out. METHOD OF OPERATION The output modules, identified via serial number, receive from the he¡Bus connection the activation command coming from the input modules. Each output is therefore activated depending on the functioning logics assigned when programming. Following are the main operating modes of the output: Mono stable (man-on command) It has the same status of the input which commands it, and can be used to command front door bells and ringers. Step mode Every time you press the button which is connected to the input it commands, the output changes status. It can be used to control lights. Shutters It can be used to command a shutter or awning motor. This type of control needs two module outputs: one for the opening command and one for the closing command (between the outputs, the interblock function triggers automatically; this is needed for controlling the motor). Timed Pressing the button connected to the input which commands it, the output for a programmable time is activated. It can be used to time command lights. We suggest carefully choosing the output contact rating (6 A or 16 A) depending on the load to be commanded, and based on what is detailed in the technical tables. Generally speaking for the lamp command it is best to use modules with 16 A output contacts, while the shutter motor commands all you need are modules with contacts in 6 A output. he¡Bus << from input modules OUT 1 OUT 2 S OUT 3 + - 001DD8UR6 OUT 4 SHUTTERS UP M OUT 5 OUT 6 OUT 7 OUT 8 F 230 V AC SHUTTERS DOWN N L L 52 Light 1 ON - OFF Light 2 ON - OFF Light TIMED ON - OFF LT 001DD2UR16 001DM2UR16 001DD8UR6 001DD8UR16 2 16 A relay output module Features 2 relay outputs with NO contacts to command electrical loads of max 230 V AC 16 A (See table). The analogic input modules let us send through the he¡Bus connection a signal for the value of applied current Voltage may fluctuate between 0 and 10 V DC. In the same way the analogic output modules give out 0 -10 V DC voltage which represents an analogic dimension processed by the home automation system The analogic output may then be connected to normal dimmers with standard 0 ÷ 10 V DC inputs. The signal coming from a generic sensor with standard 0 ÷10 V DC outputs can be connected to the analogic input module that will see to sending it to its own 0-10 V output he¡Bus connection, proportionally to the luminosity required at the point it was installed. h o m e e v o l u t i o n i d e a PROGRAMMING MODE The analogic input module may be programmed to send to the he¡Bus home-automation bus the input-current value according to the following modes: Only integration The input-current value is sent once a system-connected PC or touch screen requests it. Send automatic status The input-current value is sent consequently to exceeding the preset levels and memorised in the module or at regular time intervals. Automatic activation If an analogic output is automatically triggered, you can program for each input signal threshold, the value you want on the controlled output. If you wish to check the light intensity of a light, just command a digital analogic output which has been programmed as a dimmer (moves from ON to OFF simply pressing and keeping pressed the button lets you change light intensity). A typical example of using analogic input modules the control of the light intensity in the room The light intensity value may be viewed on the the touch screens and sent to an analogic output which will transform it into a 0-10 V signal. The output will then be able to command a dimmer, connected to an illuminating body, that will automatically adjust the light intensity of the light source depending on the room lighting conditions. he¡Bus To system >> Luminosity sensor with standard 0 10 V DC output S + - 001DA2I10V 58 OUT 2 OUT 3 S + − BUS OUT 1 001DD4I4UT 2 - INPUT GND 1 - INPUT 10 V DC 001DA3U10V Dimmer with standard 0 - 10 V DC input 001DA2I10V 2 analogic input module 0 - 10 V DC It is fitted with 2 analogic inputs 0-10 V DC to measure analogic signals coming from sensors with 0-10 V DC analogic outputs for measuring humidity, luminosity, level, etc. Its limited dimensions allow it to fit in 503-type junction and flush-mounting boxes. Temperature control normally done by standard thermostats and chrono-thermostats detects temperature in the room where the thermostat is fitted on the wall The result is that some rooms shall have just the right temperature, while in other rooms it could be too high or too low. Managing the A/C - heating via home automation lets you set up precise temperature, for each room, depending on varying needs Modern A/C-Heating systems let you divide the house into zones (i.e. thermal zones) and control each zone separately. This is obtained by installing atemperature gauge in every zone. Each zone may have a dedicated program which can adjust the desired temperature at any time. The he¡ system's standard touch screen comes with a thermo-regulating function that lets you control up to 24 thermic zones in your home with fully customisable programs which are all centralised in one point. 64 h o m e e v o l u t i o n i d e a COMMAND TYPES The thermo-regulation system is composed as follows: • Gauge 001DAST025 detecting and sending on the he¡Bus connection the room temperature • he¡Touch available in the range • Output modules to command zone electro-valves All on the touch screen All of the he¡Touch models feature a standard, graphic, temperaturemanagement interface allowing you to control 24 so-called thermic zones. Through the specific touch screen pages, users can, at any time, modify the daily programs, select the season either in the automatic or manual mode. Thermic gauges and potentiometers for local adjustments You can connect a potentiometer to the 001DAST025 gauge for local temperature adjustments of +/- 3 °C compared to the temperature set up in the thermo-regulation program. The probe sends the temperature value and local temperature setting it to the touch screen, which displays this along with the temperature setting you have chosen. The touch screen sends the commands to the output modules to activate the zone's electro-valves. 001DAST025 Temperature gauge module with 0.5° C tolerance Temperature sensors with 0.5 °C precision, connected directly on he¡Bus home automation bus and is used to control room temperature. Its limited dimensions allow it to fit in all of the main series on the market. It can connect to an optional potentiometer for locally adjusting the temperature. Blackouts are ever more frequent, especially when power requirements are greater than those provided by your energy supply contract Those light-out situations when people switch on two appliances at once is becoming very common. All of this can be easily solved with the he¡System load control module If excessive power is required, the 001DATC20A modules cuts off the less important electrical loads, and reconnects them later. Thanks to the touch-screen viewable, constantly-updated, consumption monitoring, you can program ideal times slots, to operate your household appliances, depending on your needs. 66 h o m e e v o l u t i o n i d e a METHOD OF OPERATION The 001DATC20A load control module lets you control the power draw of 8 electrical loads, so that the total power load does not exceed the energy-supply contract terms. All of this is monitored by he¡Touch. Control of utilities Via the AT Amperometric Transformer, connected externally, the 001DATC20A module detects the voltage value absorbed by the power line and, if this is greater than a preset limit, it starts to release the less important utility. If the power draw does not come within the required limits, the module disconnects a second utility and so on. The utilities will later be reconnected when the total on-line draw value drops below the set limit. Choosing priorities You can manage up to 8 utilities, in priority order from 1 (bottom, the first to be disengaged) to 8 (top, the last to be disengaged). Set up depending on utility power level The module may be used for 5 different types of supply contracts: 3 Kw, 4,5 Kw, 6 Kw, 10 Kw, 15 Kw. Loads not connected to the module Certain appliances, like refrigerators, that must always be powered up, should be directly connected to the line. The power draw will in any case be considered in the total. You can also, via touch screen, simultaneously exclude from control one or more loads due to emergency reasons, and control them manually. 001DATC20A Loads with AT control modules Prevents overload power cut-offs. It can control up to 8 loads by commanding as many relay operators. Can be used on a monophase line with 15 kW of power, it comes with a AT (amperometric transformer). The he¡ home automation system lets you control sound diffusion and choose just the right music for each room. And so, the SCENARIOS become music At the set time you can automatically have music playing in each zone of the house, and you can change the program at any time. he¡ lets you manage and distribute sound in the various rooms, exploiting the professional sound diffusing systems. Thanks to the 001DAUDIOX interface module, it is possible to connect the system to sound diffusion systems (audio matrixes) An audio matrix receives audio signals into its inputs from various sound sources (CDs, radio tuners, MP3s, etc.), it amplifies them and diffuses them through the sound diffusing devices fitted into each room. The 001DAUDIOX module connects to the RS232 matrix gate and converts the commands it receives on the he¡Bus line in control unit protocol. 68 h o m e e v o l u t i o n i d e a MODULES FOR STANDARD REMOTE CONTROL OF TOUCH SCREENS A specific, audio-matrix, management program, stand rad on he¡Touch standard Touch screen models, lets you replicate the commands appearing on the front of the matrix directly onto the terminal. So you can select a room on the touch screen (using graphic maps on the mono-chrome device or via images on the digital colours devices) and, for that room, choose the sound source you wish to hear among those available, adjusting the volume and tone of the sound. 001DAUDIOX Audio matrix control module For sound diffusion systems.
