Unit in mm F-Type connecter applicable model: 26-1 AU-14F, AU-14S-14F Preparation of the water resistant cap: Clip off the end of water resistant cap according to the diameter of coaxial cable. Preparations of the coaxial cable F-Type connectors are not included in the accessory. Put (insert) the water resistant cap through the cable before splicing. 13-14 Water resistant cap Aluminium ring Cable insulator Aluminium ring • Make sure to snap close the lid (snap sound be heard when tightly closed) Make sure to insert the water resistant cap. Cut the shield mesh wire Mesh wire Remove the insulator portion Insulator F-Type connector Conductor 1. Insert the aluminum ring first then splice the cable with a knife etc. 2. Cut the shield mesh wire portion first (13-14 mm) then remove the insulator portion (9-10 mm) of the coaxial cable. 3. Insert the F-Type connector between the shield mesh wire and the insulator. Conductor 4. Tighten the aluminum ring squeezing with pliers as show in the picture. Aluminium ring Keep away Output terminal Keep away from power lines. Work in the safe environment. Signal More than 10 m Direction Locate the receiving antenna away from heavy traffic and (or) high-tension wires. Height Signal More than 1 m More than 1 m Locate the receiving antenna in a direct line of sight to the transmitting stations. Avoid injuries while installing. Locate the receiving antenna away from other antenna as far as possible. Turn more to the left! Locate the antenna (place, height, & direction) where you can get the best reception. Coaxial cable Secure the coaxial cable away from eavestrough and roof so that it does not touch them in any weather conditions. Cut the center conductor at about 1-2 mm from the edge of F-Type connector. Cutting the center conductor in diagonal will make easier to connect the cable. (However, be careful not to puncture your fingers.) Connecting coaxial cable to the antenna and the water proofing. Connect the coaxial cable to the antenna feeder assembly and tighten the connector with pliers, etc. Do not over tighten the connector. The torque should be about 2.0 N·m (20 kgf-cm). Complete with the water resistant cap tightly inserted towards the feeder assembly. It is recommended that additional protection to wrap self adhesive tape around the conElectric tape (not included) Antenna feeder Vinyl tape (not included) nector then cover assembly with the water resistant cap for regions that have the salt damages and (or) heavy raining.
