Honda Pioneer 700 / 700-4
1. Front Suspension and running gear
Upgraded Tyres, Long travel suspension with high quality “dual damper” design, giving improved ride and off road ability. New style tough CV boots designed to resist damage on rough terrain. Stopping power is with patented scraper system on the two front 200 mm brake discs which helps prevent debris build up between calliper and rim giving a longer service life.
2. Front profile
New Facia giving a new ready for work look, High mounted Alloy Radiator with high capacity cooling system for improved heavy and low speed work, powerful 37.5 watt headlights giving improved visibility on those longer working days.
3. Dimensions
Wider stance giving low C.O.G a short wheel base giving excellent turning circle and improved break over angle.

4. Passenger cabin Sealed glove box and door pockets for additional tools and equipment on the job, Rubber mounted bench seat to reduce noise Variation and harshness (NVH). Sturdy Occupant Protection Structure, standard doors with an automotive-style double latching system, roll-up side nets, and weather proofed three-point belts with an Emergency Locking Retractor mechanism angle and bank sensitive, all help keep you and your passengers safe and secure even at low speeds. Waterproof accessory socket is ideally placed for easy access to 12-volt power.
5. Engine and transmission The power plant and transmission are positioned centrally within the chassis for optimum performance and low centre of gravity. Drive to the front and rear wheels is direct no angles no bevel gears. Saving weight and giving increased performance. The newly up dated 680cc single cylinder power plant features, twin spark plug, 4 valve cylinder head, Low lying Camshaft and Balance shaft giving a light vibration free compact unit.

The Engine is also mounted in a vibration absorbing engine cradle, which is also rubber mounted to the chassis. Further reducing NVH to the driver cab.
The Automotive-style Honda automatic transmission features a torque converter, three hydraulic clutches and an Electronic Control Module (ECM) to automatically select one of three forward gears and one Reverse gear. The ECM monitors throttle opening, vehicle speed, engine rpm, gear selector position, brake application and engine oil temperature. Additionally, the transmission does not use belts, which means greater durability and less maintenance than systems using belts that require replacement. The transmission operates in 2 driver modes Sport or Standard and is determined by throttle position and rate of throttle. This gives improved performance and control at both ends of the performance spectrum. 6. Chassis
Computer designed light weight and stronger than the previous Big Red. Giving an excellent “Rated” 386 kg load and 680 kg towing capacity.
7. Exhaust design
The Stainless steel exhaust incorporates a flash back arrestor, Catalytic convertor to reduce emissions and O2 sensor to constantly re tune the Engine giving a further saving a fuel economy and range.

8. Rear suspension
Long travel Independent wish bone design with dual Shockers (Dual damper type) and adjustable springs to cater for varying loads give a responsive and comfortable ride. Inboard-mounted rear 170 mm cable operated brake disc saves weight and is better protected from rocks and other debris.
9. Rear Cargo Bed
Incorporates quick release system plus the patented strut system to assist the tipping of a heavy load. The Cargo bed on the 2 and 4 seater share the same capacity for load with the 4 up version incorporating the QuickFlip™ seating option. This allows 2-3 or 4 seat configurations and offers convenience and versatility for many working situations.
10. Driver controls Durable, comfortable, ergonomically placed controls. The dash display is in line with current ATV range offering familiarity to the customer. Car derived hand brake mechanism, Seat belt interlock system which restricts max speed to 15kmph unless engaged for improved safety. 2WD/4WD/Front DIFF LOCK available, via the conveniently placed lever on the Pioneer 700’s dash and make the selection required in an easy logical manner.
