ON LED indicator light Salon swivel cord Curl release button STEAM FUNCTION A Water reservoir Ceramic coated barrel 2 sets of heat resistant bristles – 10mm and 6mm The Hot Styler can be used with or without steam. Steam will help to set a longer lasting style. When steam is required, first fill the water reservoir. Hold the unit in a vertical position with the cord positioned at the top and unscrew the water reservoir. (Diagram A) Ensure that the bristle lock guard remains securely on the unit. Fill the water reservoir with warm or cold water. Hold the unit in a vertical position again, with the cord positioned at the top. Tightly screw the water reservoir back on. Do not pour water into the barrel as this will cause it to drip. HOW TO CHANGE THE HEAT RESISTANT BRISTLES B HOW TO USE YOUR REMINGTON® HOT STYLER Place the styler on a flat, hard, heat resistant surface. Plug in to any household (120/240V AC) power outlet. The LED indicator light will illuminate indicating that the styler is on. • • • • • • • Worldwide voltage Bristle lock guard To activate the steam gently depress the water reservoir. The depressing of the water reservoir will release enough steam required for one small section of hair. Ensure that your hair is completely dry. To make styling easier, part your hair either in the middle or to the side and use clips to section your hair, top, sides and back. You may need to comb through your hair before styling to ensure that it is tangle free. Take about a 5cm section of hair and pull taut, down and away from the scalp. Holding the styler, wrap your hair around the hot barrel and wind up. If steam is required depress the water reservoir. Hold the Hot Styler in place for 8-12 seconds. To remove, press the curl release button and carefully draw the hot styler away, allowing your hair to unwind automatically. Allow the curl to spring back and cool before combing. Alternatively you can use the Hot Styler to add volume to the roots, by placing it under a section of hair close to the roots and holding it in place for 8-12 seconds. To switch your styler off, unplug from the power outlet. The Hot Styler comes with two complete sets of heat resistant bristles. The longer bristles (10mm) are generally better to grasp shoulder length or longer hair and will add volume or create lose curls. The shorter bristles (6mm) are designed for shorter hair and are ideal for curls and soft styling. Ensure that the styler is unplugged and cool. Unscrew the bristle lock guard and slide the bristles off the barrel (Diagram B). Take the other set of bristles and gently glide each row of bristles into the groove on the barrel and push into place. Screw the bristle lock guard securely back into place.
