HOTAS Warthog manual Firmware update 1) Launch the installation of the provided driver package. When the Windows Security warning, simply click Install to proceed with the installation.
2) During the installation process, you will be asked to connect your Thrustmaster devices.
Proceed as follow:
Joystick:
Press and hold the Trigger (fully) and S2 button, then connect the USB cable. Wait a few seconds after having connected the throttle before releasing the buttons.
Throttle:
Press and hold the Silence and Engage/Disengage buttons, then connect the USB cable. Wait a few seconds after having connected the throttle before releasing the buttons.
When both devices are connected, click
3) When the installation process is complete, open Device Manager. Under Human Interface Devices, two HOTAS Warthog BULK components should appear:
If this is the case, proceed to Step #4
If the devices does not appear as such (or at all), repeat Step #2. If after many attempts the devices are still not enumerated correctly, please contact Technical Support. 4) Launch the FlashSpaceReader utility that was provided by Technical Support.
Click the Read Joystick and Read Throttle button. The applications will then check the device for the version of the firmware currently installed.
You will then be prompted to save the result file (by default in the same folder location as the applications itself):
Send the resulting files to Technical Support for analysis.Once this done, you can now proceed to updating your hardware. 5) Launch the Firmware updater program. Start > Programs > Thrustmaster > Hotas Warthog > Firmware Update
Under Device, the two HOTAS Warthog components should appear as follow: [BOOT] Hotas Warthog Joystick – Firmware 9 [BOOT] Hotas Warthog Throttle – Firmware 17
6) Select the component you wish to update. The Firmware window displays the version that will be applied to the device. When you are ready to proceed, click OK.
The update process will run its course and the progress will be displayed.
Once the process is complete and successful, click OK to exit the updater application.
7) The two HOTAS Warthog components should now appear as standard HID-compliant game controller in Device Manager:
8) Check that both devices are working correctly in Game Controller
