Blades The slicing result highly depends on the polish, the shaping and the quality of the blade. Therefore, ritter does offer a variety of blades with different slicing features for perfect slicing. The serrated blade is well suited for all kinds of slicing. Both hard and soft food may be cut into appetizing slices. Especially for extremely thin slices, ritter provides the smooth-edged blade. This smooth ham- and sausage blade does evenly cut off thin slices from soft food in particular. All ritter blades have been hardened especially at the slicing fringe. A special edge zone hardening further improves the slicing quality and also grants long-lasting sharpness of the blade.
Blade made of stainless steel The regular standard blade is suited for every-day use. This blade made of stainless steel is available as serrated blade and as smooth blade.
Blade made of stainless steel with electropolished surface The blade made of stainless steel has been polished electrolytically by a special procedure, resulting in an extremely smooth surface and even slicing edge. Thus, the slicing results get even more precise and the blade may be cleaned more easily. And in addition, the blade gains an elegant look of high polish. The electropolished blade is available as serrated and as smooth blade.
Blade made of stainless steel with non-stick coating The blade made of stainless steel has been refined with a non-stick coating. The sticking of soft food, such as cheese, is being reduced by the non-stick method of the coating. A further advantage is the more convenient cleaning of the nonstick blade. The non-stick blade is only available as smooth blade.

Due to its superior design, the classy sono5 multislicer was honoured with the coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015. The award is a globally recognised seal of quality for outstanding design.
In 2015, the full metal multislicer icaro7 won the iF DESIGN AWARD 2015 due to its outstanding design. The iF DESIGN AWARD is a globally recognised trademark when it comes to excellent design.
The fontana5 kettle received the Blue Angel seal in 2014 “saving energy - protects the climate”. It received this distinction because of its low energy consumption and its high quality. The fontana5 was also honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award 2013.
The glass toaster volcano5 was upgrated by being nominated for the German Design Award 2012. This is the highest official design award in Germany. With its superior design and its high product quality, volcano5 has won the iF product design award 2011.
