SOLUTION
Try to avoid dirt in the pool. E.g. place a bowl with clean water close to the ladder. Water purification agents must be added more often and in larger doses during hot weather when you bathe often.
Light, flexible and efficient alternative to sand Fits all cartridge filters and sand filter systems 350 g of pool filter balls corresponds to 25 kilograms of sand. Articel 1060

STEP 1 – Measure and adjust the pH level
Articles: Test Strips (1537), pH Minus (1714), pH Plus (1712)
The pH level must be between 7.0 and 7.4
The pH level in the water is decisive for water care. The first and most important step is therefore to measure and adjust the pH level. To test the current pH level in the water, use one Swim ’N Fun Test Strip. This is the fast and easy way to measure pH. Aim to achieve a value of 7.2. If the value is above 7.4, use pH Minus (1714) to lower pH. If the value is below 7.0, use pH Plus (1712) to raise pH.
STEP 2 – Sanitize the water
Articles: Chlorine, fast dissolving (1701), Chlorine, slow dissolving (1729)
The water must be regularly shocktreated and sanitized
Ambient grime, spores and bacteria contaminate pool water all the time. To prevent bacterial proliferation in the water, use water sanitizing agents. Water sanitizers are oxidants. Products contain e.g. chlorine, bromine or active oxygen. Sanitizers must be added to the water on a regular basis. The quantity added depends on water quality. Water at an incorrect pH level, warm water and pools that are exposed to strong sunshine require larger doses. The same applies in the high season when there are more contaminants (leaves, grass, sunscreen, cosmetics, hair) in the pool.
STEP 2A – Shock treatment when the pool has just been filled with water A pool must be shock treated when it has recently been filled with water or if you have certain difficulties (See Troubleshooting on the back page). Shock treatment means that a higher dose of sanitizer than normal is added to the water in order to effectively disinfect the water and remove deposits and stains. Shock-treat using Hurtigklor (Fast-acting Chlorine)(1701) – a fast-dissolving granulate.
STEP 2B – Regular maintenance of water purity For regular maintenance of water purity, use Langsomklor (Slow-acting Chlorine)(1729) – slow-dissolving chlorine tablets which consistently release chlorine into the water. The chlorine tablets must be placed in a dispenser (1567) or in the pool skimmer basket.
CHLORINEFREE
STEP 2 - The chlorine-free alternative Articles: OxyChock (1784), CombiTabs (1758), Aktivator (1735)
For the paddling pool
The active oxygen method Ideal oxygen value: 30-60 mg/l.
CHLORINEFREE
OxyChock (1784) and CombiTabs (1758) are nonchlorine alternatives using active oxygen for pool shock treatment and regular disinfection. OxyChock must always be used in combination with Activator (1735), which significantly prolongs and increases the disinfectant effects of active oxygen. We also recommend the use of Aktivator with CombiTabs.
STEP 3 – Prevent deposits and stains Articles: KlarPool (1716)
KlarPool prevents deposits
The correct amount of KlarPool (1716) in the water prevents deposits from forming on the sides and bottom of the pool, partly caused by warm water and sunlight. KlarPool also prolongs the effect of chlorine in the water. Mucus-forming microorganisms create deposits, which are a fertile breeding ground for bacteria. If the pool already has deposits, add a double dose of Chlorine, fast dissolving (1701) and then a preventive dose of KlarPool.
Clean water in your children’s pool for weeks – Try Saness MiniPool
Saness MiniPool (1746) is a special non-chlorine product, which keeps paddling pool water clean for several weeks and guarantees healthy bathing for water babies. The product sanitizes the water and prevents deposits. Saness MiniPool has a built-in dosage pump. The cap can be used as a measuring cup. Simple.

STEP 4 – When your filter system fails to trap all the microparticles that cloud the water Articles: Flocking Liquid (1719), Flockings Sticks (1734)
Flocking agent gathers microparticles
Some dirt particles are so small that they are not trapped in the filter system. They float around in the water making it look cloudy. If the pH value is too high, small particles of calcium may be released into the water. If steps 1-3 fail to clear the water, a flocking agent may be beneficial. A flocking agent clogs the smallest particles into larger units which either sink to the bottom or are trapped in the sand filter. If your pool has a cartridge filter, switch off the pump until the particles have settled and you have suction-cleaned them up. This to avoid the filter cartridge getting blocked.
STEP 5 – Chemical water care is not enough on its own
Cleaning and maintenance
Chemical water care is not enough to keep the water fresh and welcoming. You also have to filter the water efficiently through a pump system and you have to remove debris on the bottom and impurities in the water. Swim & Fun offers a range of practical cleaning and maintenance products, including a suction pool cleaner, telescopic poles, special surface and bottom nets, etc. Use these products to minimise the need for chemical water care and reduce wear and tear on your pool filter pump.
For outdoor pools with a filter system EasyPool floats on the water and keeps your pool water clean and clear for 1-2 months. The EasyPool dispenser releases slow-acting chlorine, KlarPool (ClearPool) and a pH-stabilising agent into the water and prevents calcium deposits from forming in the water. You can also use EasyPool to keep pool water fresh when the pool is not in use For optimal effect, the water should be circulated a couple of times a day, e.g. using a timer. Don’t forget to adjust pH and shock-treat before use. EasyPool Mini (97477) for 2-10,000-litre outdoor pools EasyPool Maxi (97469) for 10-50,000-litre outdoor pools
