Navigate to the webpage listed above Scroll down to the VPN client section of the webpage, and click Mac OS X to download the OS version of the VPN software. Before installing the software, go to the system preferences page and click security and privacy. Click the lock and enter your password in order to unlock your settings. *Before* changing anything, make a note of the current settings. It should be set to “Mac App Store and identified developers”. Change this setting to “Anywhere” in order to be able to download the Network Connect app. Now click your downloads in the corner and open “NetworkConnect.dmg”. This window will pop up, and click networkconnect.pkg Follow the instructions to install “Network Connect” Search for “Network Connect” in the spotlight search bar and click “Network Connect” to open the app. For first time usage, enter the address above in the “sign in at:” bar. Enter your UC Davis ID in the boxes shown above and click sign in. If this warning appears after logging in, click always. If a screen similar to the above appears, you have successfully logged into the VPN application. You are now ready to access Library resources off campus! Click your favorite browser and begin your work. *NOTE* Remember to refer back to your Security and Privacy settings, and change your “allow apps downloaded from” setting back to “Mac App store and trusted developers”.
