How to Level the Refrigerator Important: A properly leveled refrigerator will have the front of the refrigerator resting on the leveling legs and with the front wheels not in contact with the floor. This will prevent potential leak issues, cooling issues, noise issues, and damage to the refrigerator. Notes: •
A carpenter's level will be used to level the refrigerator left to right. However, do not use the carpenter's level to level the refrigerator front to back. When leveled correctly (as explained above), the refrigerator will have a front-to-back slant, with the front of the refrigerator higher than the back.
•
To prevent damage to the floor, lower the refrigerator off the leveling legs and back onto the wheels before moving the refrigerator. Re-level the refrigerator after it is in the desired location.
To level the refrigerator, perform the following: 1. For French Door refrigerators, open the freezer drawer and remove the lower basket. Other refrigerators will skip this step. 2. If the model has a kick plate, it may or may not need to be removed in order to easily access the leveling legs. This will vary between models. To remove the kick plate, remove the two attached screws with a Philips screwdriver, then lift it up from the bottom and pull it out.
3. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into a notch on the side of one of the leveling legs. The screwdriver is then used as a lever to rotate the leveling leg clockwise or counter-clockwise, which will lower or raise that side of the refrigerator.
4. Raise the refrigerator as high as it will go (counterclockwise). Repeat this with the other leveling leg. 5. Using a carpenter's level, make minor adjustments to the leveling legs until the main body of the refrigerator is level left to right. Samsung Electronics America

Note: If after leveling the main body, the refrigerator doors are not even, see the section in the user manual for adjusting the doors. 6. Verify the following to confirm the refrigerator is properly leveled. If the refrigerator is not properly leveled, repeat from step 3. o
The front wheels are no longer in contact with the floor.
o
The full weight of the refrigerator is resting on the leveling legs.
7. If a kick plate was removed, reattach it. Once the refrigerator is level left to right, and the front wheels are no longer in contact with the floor, the refrigerator is properly leveled.
