Podcast / recording of lecture using TechSmith Relay (Earlier called Camtasia Relay) Variant: recording of sound with PowerPoint as background For creation of user account at Uninett and more supplementary information, look at https://www.uio.no/tjenester/it/utdanning/podcasting/ 1. Open your Power-point presentation and start slideshow. TechSmith Relay will start automatically. Log in to TechSmith using your username and password if you are told to. (NB: not your UiO-password, but the username and password you got from Uninett). 2. Check that the microphone (combined mic and camera) sits on top of the screen, or close to where you are talking. To be continued…. 3. Adjust Audio Input Level Use Auto (Auto lights up green), or turn off Auto and adjust up to max input. Check that the sound is there. (Look at the level indicator when you talk.) 4. Start recording by choosing «Record Slide Show» (see illustration side 1) 5. When the presentation is finished, press Esc (on the keyboard). You will then get a choice weather you want to continue or stop the recording.. 6. When you stop the recording, write a «Title» and a short «Description», and press «Submit». You might have to log in to Techsmith using your username and password if you did not do it earlier. (NB: (NB: not UiO-password, but the username and password you got from Uninett). 7. You might start a new recording, or log off. (NB: do not turn the pc off) 8. The recording will be sendt to Uninett, and you will get a email when it is ready for publishing. You will find all your recordings on the startpage at https://relay.uninett.no/ They can be directy linked from there or you can download and publish in Vortex or Fronter.
