How to set ADSL Modem (Billion BIPAC5200W) as Access Point along with Cable Modem (Cisco EPC3825) 3 steps for Equipment setup are as follows: 1. Check Cable Modem for the internet connection and IP distribution 2. Set up ADSL Modem to be an Access Point within the same LAN 3. Connect Cable Modem and ADSL Modem with LAN cable 1st Step: Check Cable Modem for the internet connection and IP distribution 1. Test opening a website and surfing an internet 2. Connect LAN cable from computer (or Notebook) with Cable Modem’s LAN, open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 then enter  Username : admin  Password: password  Click Login 3. Check Wireless setup  Wireless Network : Enabled  Standard Channel : select the channel with least interference, if do not know, select ‘Auto’  Wireless Network Name (SSID): create network name  Click Save Settings 4. Select Wireless > Wireless Security and set up as follows:  Wireless Security Mode : WPA2-Personal  Encryption : TKIP+AES  Pre-shared Key : enter password  Click Save Settings 5. Click Setup > LAN Setup  DHCP Server: Enable  Click Save Settings 2nd Step: Set up ADSL Modem to be an Access Point within the same LAN 1. Reset Factory Default for ADSL Modem, by pressing the hole at the back of modem for 11 seconds and release 2. Connect LAN cable from computer (or Notebook) with Cable Modem’s LAN, open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 then enter  Username : admin  Password: password  Click Login 3. Click Interface Setup > Wireless  Access Point: Activated  Channel: select the channel with least interference, if do not know, select ‘Auto’  SSID: create the network name as desired (the example is ended with 'EXT' to make it different from Cable Modem)  Authentication type: WPA2-PSK  Encryption: TKIPAES  Pre-shared Key: enter password as desired (should be set the same as Cable Modem)  Click SAVE 4. At Interface Setup > LAN  Change IP Address to 192.168.1.2  DHCP: Disabled  Click SAVE 3rd Step: Connect Cable Modem and ADSL Modem with LAN cable Connect ADSL Modem set as an Access Point with LAN cable from LAN slot (or Ethernet) to LAN slot (or Ethernet) of Cable Modem Connected Cable Modem will share internet with ADSL Modem via LAN cable whereas ADSL Modem will share internet via wireless to increase network signal coverage
