HOW TO UPDATE DATE AND TIME SETTINGS 877-840-5142

1) Right click on the screen. Select Main Menu from the drop down.
2) In the main menu, go to Setting at the bottom of the screen and click on System.

3) Insure that General is selected on the left hand side. Then, select Date and Time from the tabs on the top.

4) The Date and Time tab has a variety of settings. Go through them one by one, choosing the settings you want. The options are: a. Date Format: Select what order you want the date to be displayed in. b. Time Format Select if you want time to be displayed in 12-hour or 24-hour format. c. Date separator: Select if you want elements of the date to be separated by periods (.), dashes (-), or slashes (/). d. System Time: This is the official time and date that the DVR runs off of. This is also where you will set the time zone that you are in. i. Atlantic Time Zone: GMT-4 ii. Eastern Time Zone: GMT-5 iii. Central Time Zone: GMT-6 iv. Mountain Time Zone: GMT-7 v. Pacific Time Zone: GMT-8 vi. Alaskan Time Zone: GMT-9 vii. Hawaiian-Aleutian Time Zone: GMT-10

5) If you live in a region that enters Daylight Saving Time (DST) during the summer, you will need to insure that DST is set up. Make sure that the box next to DST is checked, and then select how you want to set up DST. There are two ways to do this. The first is by Day of the Week: a. To set up by day of the week, chose the month, week, day and time that DST starts. DST in the United States and most of Canada starts at 2:00am on the 2nd Sunday in March. b. Repeat this process with the End Time options. DST in the United States and most of Canada ends at 2:00am on the 1st Sunday in November.

6) The other option for setting up DST is called Date. a. Select the month, date, year and time you want the DVR to enter DST at. b. Select the month, date, year and time you want the DVR to exit DST at.
7) Select the DST option that you prefer, then click Save. The Date and Time settings will update on your DVR.
