Reset button Green Light Red Light Cleaning HobWatcher may be wiped clean with a soft dry or lightly dampened (not wet) cloth. Warning! Do not attempt to remove the cover or tamper with this device as it contains mains voltage and may cause serious injury. If you wish to turn the hob back on when the HobWatcher has switched off power to the hob, simply turn off all hob controls and press Reset. The hob may then be turned back on immediately. Operation While the hob is turned off, the HobWatcher is in standby and there should not be any lights or beeping. To start cooking simply turn on the hob as normal. The HobWatcher will turn on automatically and the green light will come on. When approximately 20 seconds of cooking time remains, the green light will flash and a beep will be heard warning that the HobWatcher is about to switch the hob off. To continue cooking just press Reset and another 10 minutes will be added to your cooking time. If Reset is not pressed within the last 20 seconds, the HobWatcher will switch power to the hob off. If the hob controls are still turned on the red light will flash and the HobWatcher will beep for 10 seconds. If the hob controls are turned off, the red led will illuminate steadily until the hob has cooled down. While the red light is on, if any of the cooker controls are turned on, the power to the cooker will remain off, the red LED will flash and the HobWatcher will beep. Once the hob has cooled down, the red light will go off and the HobWatcher will return to standby.
