HP 10.4" ap5000 LCD Customer Display is shown attached to the back of the HP ap5000 All-in-One (AiO) Point of Sale (POS) System.
Introduction The HP 10.4" ap5000 LCD Customer Display is a liquid crystal display (LCD) that can be used to display transactional information (pricing, product description, receipt totals, etc.) and customer-facing marketing (promotional messages and images). The customer facing display (CFD) is mounted to the HP ap5000 All-in-One POS System in lieu of the 2-line Vacuum Florescent Display (VFD) (or 2 x 20 Customer Display). The CFD will display full color graphics and video via the on-board VGA port. The display receives power from the VGA port so there is no need for a separate power adapter "brick". User buttons are located on the back of the CFD, recessed and out of sight to the customer. The CFD uses the VFD mounting mechanism. Simple procedures for removing the VFD and installing the CFD are included in the 10.4" Customer Display documentation in the AZ191AA box contents. The CFD does not feature a touch screen.
