Compatible chassis are stamped “A9386-0002D”. Potential Data Corruption in Applications On a kernel with an InfiniBand driver, in order to avoid potential data corruption problems, you must install the following patch: PHKL_33563 to prevent potential data corruption in applications after fork() is executed. Patches can be found through the HP IT Resource Center at: http://www.itrc.hp.com. Use Consistent OS and Software Versions in the Fabric HP requires all systems in the fabric to use both the same HP-UX OS software version, and the same HP-UX Fabric Clustering System for InfiniBand software version, such as version B.11.23.05. HP requires all systems in the fabric to use the same bundle, IB4X-00. HP requires all switches in the fabric to use the same firmware image version such as: HP-374305-001-Release-2.2.0hp-build018.img Use the latest software and switch firmware available online at: http://support.hp.com. 1. Select Software and Driver downloads. 2. Enter your product name. 3. Click the double arrow. Refer to the section “Configuration, Image, and Log Files” on page 81 in the HP Fabric Clustering System HP-UX Administrator's Guide for details. Limitations to On-Line Addition and Replacement Operations (OL*) On-Line Addition and Replacement (OL*) of HP Fabric Clustering System adapters is supported on HP Fabric Clustering System version B.11.23.02 with a couple of limitations. CAUTION Chapter Do Not use an Attention Button to REPLACE an HP Fabric Clustering System HCA. 5 HP PCI-X 2-port 4X Fabric (HPC) Adapter Product Documentation Do not use the Attention Button method of On-Line Addition and Replacement (OL*) to replace an existing HP Fabric Clustering System HCA, as the slot will not power off. Use the Command Line Interface, or Peripheral Device Tool graphical user interface (GUI) to replace an HP Fabric Clustering System HCA. Refer to the Interface Card OL* Support Guide, available on http://www.docs.hp.com for details on using standard OL* features. HP Fabric Clustering System HCAs can be added using the Attention Button feature. To replace an HCA, you must use option olrad -f, see the HP Fabric Clustering System - HP-UX Administrator's Guide for details. Interaction with HyperFabric Driver The HP Fabric Clustering System driver will not co-exist with HyperFabric driver versions prior to B.11.23.01. The HyperFabric driver versions must be upgraded to version B.11.23.01 before installing the HP Fabric Clustering System driver. Failure to upgrade the HyperFabric driver to version B.11.23.01 will result in a system panic if HP Fabric Clustering System or HyperFabric commands are issued. Product Documentation The latest documentation for the HP Fabric Clustering System can be found on http://www.docs.hp.com in the Networking and Communications section under Fabric Clustering System for InfiniBand.
