Complete support for digital and analog devices means that digital system phones can be integrated without loss of performance. For more information about the HiPath 3000 convergence system and HiPath 2000, please see the separate data sheets. Networking of up to 32 nodes in the network HiPath 5000 RSM and HiPath 5000 CS can either be installed on the same server or on separate servers. HiPath 5000 RSM is only required on one server, while HiPath 5000 can be installed several times in a HiPath 5000 network. It is possible to install the software, available on CD, on all typical Windows 2000/2003 servers. More applications can be installed on the HiPath 5000 server, depending on the server configuration and the complexity of the communication network. HiPath ComScendo - Enhanced Telephony for Real Time IP Systems HiPath ComScendo provides comprehensive communications features for both the HiPath 5000 Real Time IP system as well as the telephones in the form of a software suite. This is irrespective of whether IP, digital phones or PC clients are used. HiPath ComScendo – Selected Features User mobility Having logged in on an IP telephone of their choice, employees can make calls with their own telephone number and key assignment. This is possible network-wide and at different company sites. ● Teleworking Users have the same call number and key assignment in their home office and at work. In the case of an external login, the IP telephone in the office is assigned a nonmobile number and is still fully usable. ● Desk Sharing Several employees share the same desk in flexible office environments. After they have logged in, users can use their own telephone number and key assignment. In the case of the optiPoint 420 with self-labeling keys, users even have their own key labels. ● Caller list Unanswered internal and external calls are displayed by system telephones, provided the external numbers use caller identification (ISDN). Internal calls are transmitted with the name of the caller. Calls are listed with date and time and the number of call attempts is logged. This list can also be used to initiate a callback. ● Do-Not-Disturb/ringer cutoff Users can reject incoming calls. When the do-not-disturb function is active, callers hear the normal ringing tone. Authorized users (e. g. switching stations) can bypass this function. Ringer cutoff: Acoustic call signalling can be deactivated on system telephones so that calls are only indicated on the display (not available with optiset E/ optiPoint 500 entry). ● HiPath 3800 HiPath 3300 HiPath 3500 Call pickup Users can pick up calls on their own telephone within a call pickup group or selectively for particular colleagues within a node or across different nodes. ● Override Authorized stations can intrude on other users’ calls in progress. ● Class of service All extension users can be assigned different access rights. A distinction is made between: – unrestricted access to charged calls – restricted access to charged calls – no access to charged calls ● Internal announcement to system telephones or via external loudspeakers. ● Call cost logging For every terminal or per trunk in summation memory. In the case of lines without call charge pulses, the call duration is displayed (external equipment is required for call charge accounting). ● Group call For groups with up to 20 users. Individual users can leave the group on a temporary basis. ● Line keys (MULAP) Line keys can be used to achieve the following flexible configurations: – teams, – executive/secretary functions, – enhanced handsets (Gigaset) in parallel with the system telephone under a single call number (only in connection with HiPath Cordless). ● LDAP Interface For access to internal phonebooks with direct dialing option via the telephone. Speed dialing for individual station/ system Store up to 10 numbers separately on each telephone and up to 1,000 numbers centrally in the system. Numbers stored in the are accessible via the internal telephone directory. ● ● Intercept/attendant console ● Call waiting/call display ● Call forwarding from the extension ● Display languages (Can be defined individually) ● Conferencing (internal/external) ● Line assignment (Automatic) ● Music on hold ● External music source (Optional) ● Night service/day service ● Absence messages can be stored on your telephone (e.g. Back at: ...). ● Park ● Consultation holding Project code Telephone costs can be assigned to a specific transaction or project by entering the project code. This can also be done while a call is in progress. ● Callback If line is busy and call is not answered (Automatic) ● Call forwarding After time on no answer ● Call number suppression In the case of ISDN lines, callers can temporarily suppress the display of their call number on the called party’s terminal on a system-wide basis. ● Hunt group (Linear/cyclical) ● Telephone lock (Individually-defined lock code) ● Transferring a call (Internal/external) ● Recall Via public network operator ● Toggle Between two existing lines. ● Text messages Users can send other users predefined or individual short messages vi a the display (e.g. "Visitor Waiting"). Internal text messages When HiPath Cordless Office is used, internal text messages can also be sent to the enhanced handset. ● ● Call signaling Different call signaling is used for internal calls, external calls, recalls and callback. ● ● Additional ringing Calls are signaled on several telephones at the same time. Switch (actors/sensors) (optional) A control relay module enables up to four free relays to be connected that can be controlled by means of codes. ● ● Internal telephone book All extensions and the corresponding names are stored in the system’s internal telephone directory. They can be searched and dialed directly via the display on system telephones. ● Entryphones For entryphones and door opening functions. Calls from a telephone in the entrance area can be forwarded to external destinations. ● Standard Functions ● Automatic number redial (extended) For the last three external call numbers dialled. Encryption Together with the integrated IP gateway HG1500, HiPath 5000 offers a solution for tap-proof communication between IP systems. The solution is based on international standards. The call data is encrypted between gateways using the Secure Realtime Transport Protocol (SRTP, RFC 3711), and the CorNet IP signaling protocol is encrypted using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). The decisive advantage of this solution is that no additional software or hardware is needed for the encryption and decryption processes. Encryption and decryption are performed locally at the physical endpoints of the connection (at the terminal or gateway) and this functionality is integrated in the system SIP The Session Initiation Protoco (SIP) is an ASCII-based signaling protocol used for communication in IP networks. SIP is offered on HiPath 5000 together with the existing H.323 and CorNet IP protocols. HiPath 5000 supports the SIP protocol from version 6.0 onwards. Attendant Consoles optiPoint Attendant An optiPoint system phone can be used as an attendant console. This can be organized as an information, intercept or night service console. The attendant console can be reached internally by means of a second call number. If the number of users on hold reaches a preset level, calls will be forwarded to a specified destination. This will also take place when the length of time a call is queued exceeds a specified limit. optiClient Attendant This software package simulates an enhanced attendant console on a PC’s screen. All functions can be activated and executed via the PC keyboard and mouse. The PC Attendant can be connected via a terminal device using USB or IP. optiPoint BLF The busy lamp field (BLF) is an additional module, normally used with the optiPoint Attendant. The BLF has 90 programmable function keys that use LEDs to show a user’s call status (free, busy, called). This means that only one network needs to be managed for IP telephony, considerably reducing administration costs. Centrally managed and distributed applications and functions, such as IP trunking and IP payload switching enable operating costs and call charges to be reduced. User mobility means that relocation costs can be drastically reduced. The HiPath 5000 Real Time IP system can be easily expanded to include as many additional users as necessary. You can, however, also expand existing HiPath 3000 systems to create fully integrated gateways in a HiPath 5000 solution. Extended failure tolerance The HiPath 5000 Real Time IP system offers a particularly high degree of reliability and failure tolerance. The use of independent gateways results in a largely failure-tolerance solution. This means that communications are always maintained, even if the corporate IP network is disrupted.
