HREP DVR Top 10 Benefits
User-friendly front panel control
The front control panel of HREP is easy to use making it ideal for operators that are not familiar with controlling a security system. IR remote control and support for a USB mouse provides the user alternatives to front panel button control to operate the DVR. Installers may find it faster to configure the DVR using the IR remote control compared to front panel local control.
Greater storage duration and clear video playback
H.264 compression technology provides efficient use of hard drive capacity. HREP recording resolution can be set per camera at CIF, 2CIF, and 4CIF. Video quality is excellent and is comparable to high-end embedded DVRs.
Quick and easy retrieval of video evidence
HREP offers a much more powerful search engine than many competitive units that restrict search to ‘go-to’ time and date. Calendar Search will save users time via the graphical search menu showing when video has been recorded and serves as a go-to function from the menu. Panorama search displays eight images simultaneously for the selected camera. Images are displayed in 3 – hour increments to help identify the period of time in which a change occurred. Motion detection looks for movement within a specific user-definable area and records clips when motion is detected. This mode of operation is commonly used to save hard drive space and makes it easy to search quickly for wanted video.
Fast transfer of evidence to police
Video evidence clips are copied with viewer executable to flash drive via the front panel USB ports or to CD/DVD using the internal DVD burner.
Convenient remote access
Using almost any PC connected to the Internet, users can access the DVR to check up on their business from afar without having to install remote software. Most functions can be controlled such as live view, search, or burn evidence video clip. DDNS enables the DVR to be accessed remotely should the broadband connection not have a static IP address.
Economical
Low cost initial investment with a high-end feature set.
Never miss an event
HREP can be set up to send an e-mail with or without an image of the trigger event.
PTZ camera control
PTZ camera control is available via the front panel or remote software. PTZ, focus, presets, and go-to presets are supported. Up to 255 presets can be created.
Reliable
The embedded Linux operating system provides reliable 24/7 operation.
Flexible and configurable user access rights
Manager and User access rights can be configured for Set-up, PTZ, Search, Archive, and remote access.
