Instructions ●● Keep this product far away from any object with strong magnetism to avoid potential damage. ●● Maintain the volume of mobile radio at a proper level so as not to miss any call that comes through the mobile radio directly. ●● Stay away from any object with strong magnetism so as to guarantee optimal voice quality during a call. ●● Place back the handset in the holder when it is not in use so as to avoid missing calls. ●● The volume level of the handset cannot be controlled via the mobile radio. If any item is missing or damaged, please contact your dealer. 1 No. 1 2 3 4 Name Handset Owner’s Manual Holder Screws Qty. 1 1 1 4 Function Overview The handset features high quality receiver and high SNR MIC, delivering you clear and private communication services in noisy environments. It can be used in various locations such as dispatch center and control center. Product highlights: ●● Easy to adjust the volume level. ●● Able to invoke your last volume settings. ●● Equipped with a holder to hold and protect the handset. ●● Automatic voice switching between the handset and mobile radio: the handset puts through the coming call if it is off its holder; otherwise, the mobile radio will put through the call directly. Product Overview Caution: Here takes the handset with keypad as shown below for illustration. The handset without keypad excludes Part 1 and 2. 2 No. 1 Part Name TK (Top Key) Description This key has the same function as the TK ( 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ) of the mobile radio, which is the programmed Emergency Alarm key by default, and can be programmed with other function by your dealer. Keypad These keys are used for inputting, menu navigation and enabling/disabling programmable features. They have the same functions as those with same icon of the mobile radio. Volume +/For adjusting the volume level. Your settings would remain valid unless you change it again. P T T ( P u s h - t o - This key is used for transmitting and has the Talk) Key same function as the PTT key of the mobile radio. Connector Knob ●● Rotate this knob clockwise to fasten the connector. ●● Rotate this knob counterclockwise to loosen the connector. Connector For connecting the mobile radio. Screws For securing the handset holder. Holder For holding the handset. Receiver For outputting voice. Microphone For inputting voice. Installing the Holder Install the holder at a proper location near the mobile radio for convenient use. To install the holder, tighten the screws as shown below. 3 Lifting and Replacing the Handset ●● To replace the handset, hold it and place the receiver into the holder until a click sounds. ●● To lift the handset, hold it and lift it from the holder. Connecting to the Mobile Radio Connect the handset (with the triangle identifier of the connector facing upwards) to the mobile radio, rotate the connector knob clockwise to fasten it as shown below. The mobile radio will display “An accessory is connected” upon successful connection. Accessory Connector of Mobile Radio Note: Connecting the handset to the mobile radio will not disable the keys of the mobile radio; and the keys of the handset remain in operation when it is lifted and placed back. To remove the connector, rotate the connector knob counterclockwise to loosen it. 4 Transmitting a Call ●● To transmit a half-duplex call, take the handset from the holder and hold down the PTT key to talk into the microphone. ●● To transmit a full-duplex call, take the handset from the holder and talk into the microphone directly. When the handset is placed back, the call will come through the mobile radio automatically. 5
