The HughesNet™ .74 reflector should be installed where: o o o o b. There is the best line of site, clear of any obstructions. There is the least possibility of damage or leaking in the residential location. The reflector is least visible to accommodate HOA and customer aesthetic requirements. The installation best accommodates the wall mount and penetration of cables for delivery of service to the customer’s computer. Antenna mounts should NEVER be: o o o o Blocked by the house or a neighbor's house. Blocked by wires, antennas, or trees. Make sure to avoid locations where leaves on trees or future tree growth may obstruct line-of-sight. Installed on stucco, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, chimneys, trees or fences or freestanding wooden posts. Installed for the convenience of the installer, but to maximize performance and limit visibility of the reflector. Record any additional charges on the installation reference sheet, obtaining customer’s approval for these charges before installation begins. Review of the Standard installation: a. b. A standard installation includes travel mileage to and from installation location. Mounting and grounding the antenna to an outside wall, first level roof or another approved structure with HughesNet™ standard roof/wall mounting brackets, accessible with a 25ft ladder. Wall mounts MUST NOT be mounted to surfaces, building materials, or structures that cannot support the wall mount (for example, stucco, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, chimneys, trees or fences). Freestanding wooden posts not authorized as pole mount. c. All HughesNet™ antennas must be mounted a minimum of 5 ft. off the ground and out of the reasonable reach of small children. d. Two exterior cable runs with one point of entry through an exterior wall (with exterior seal) to an interior wall and the installation of a wall jack. e. When purchased with original order: Data plus Video Systems (DTV) include the installation of the DTV upgrade kit on the data antenna, an additional 100 ft of exterior cable, run to a 2nd exterior / interior wall penetration, and wall jack no more than 25ft from an existing telephone jack. Connection to the TV receiver. Installation does not include removal of old DTV antenna. f. Use of a laptop computer to complete pointing of the antenna to the satellite. g. Contact the Installer Support Hotline should there be a problem. The installer must obtain an Installer Release # before leaving the site with out the customer browsing. c. Assist the customer with accessing myHughesNet.com and creating their e-mail accounts. d. Clean up any unnecessary materials from the installation site. e. Obtain Customer’s approval and signature and complete the Installation Reference Sheet and provide customer with a copy prior to install. f. Provide appropriate technical support number for questions 1(866) 347-3292. HughesNet™ EQUIPMENTINSTALLATION ADDENDUMTOSUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT You have entered or are entering into a Subscriber Agreement (the "Agreement") for the provision of the HughesNet™ service. In addition, certain HughesNet™ equipment has been installed at your home or office by HughesNet™. This Equipment Installation Addendum to the Agreement (this "Addendum") is part of the Agreement. THIS ADDENDUM CONTAINS CERTAIN TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE EQUIPMENT, BUT MUST BE READ TOGETHER WITH THE AGREEMENT FOR ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF THE SERVICES AND THE PROVISION OF THE EQUIPMENT. The provisions of the Agreement and the provisions of this Addendum are intended to be read together as consistent with each other, to give full effect to all provisions, and as constituting a single, integrated agreement. However, if there is an inconsistency between a provision of the Agreement and a provision of this Addendum, the provision of this Addendum shall control. This is your copy of the Addendum. Please keep this for your records. 1) DEFINITIONS: "Equipment" means the HughesNet™ indoor and outdoor unit(s) that together are used to receive HughesNet™ Services; "Inside Wiring" means the cable that runs inside the Premises to the outdoor equipment, and includes any extra outlets, splitters, connections, fittings or wall plates attached to it; "Optional Equipment" means any Customer purchased or furnished equipment ancillary to the Equipment; and "Premises" means the location specified by the Customer as the place where the Equipment is or will be installed. Terms used in this Addendum that are defined in the Agreement are used in this Addendum as defined in the Agreement. 2) INSTALLATION OF EQUIPMENT: a) HughesNet™ will install or arrange for installation of, and Customer agrees to permit installation of, the Equipment (including Inside Wiring, if necessary) on the Premises, within a reasonable time after the related order has been accepted by HughesNet™. Any re-installation, return, or change or transfer in location of the Equipment shall be performed by HughesNet™ at its service rates in effect at the time of service. HughesNet™ shall not be responsible for any damage to the Premises arising from the installation or removal of the Equipment or Inside Wiring, except in cases of negligence or improper workmanship, and then only to the extent of the actual damages thereof. Claims of negligence or improper workmanship must be made in writing to HughesNet™ within 60 days after installation or removal of the Equipment or Inside Wiring. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THERE ARE INHERENT RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ROOF OR SIDE WALL MOUNTS AND CUSTOMER RELEASES AND HOLDS HARMLESS INSTALLER, HughesNet™ AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENTS FROM LIABILITY RELATED THERETO. Customer hereby grants to HughesNet™ an easement in gross covering the routing necessary for installation, operation and removal of the Equipment and Inside Wiring on, across, through and in the Premises at no cost or charge to HughesNet™ . b) Customer authorizes HughesNet™ or its designee to make connections and perform other tasks deemed necessary to enable HughesNet™ to provide the Equipment to Customer, including connecting and making necessary attachments to Customer's Inside Wiring. c) Customer represents and warrants that Customer is the owner of record of the Premises or, if Customer is a tenant, that Customer has obtained the written consent of the owner of record of the Premises to the transactions contemplated herein. If Customer is not the owner of the Premises, Customer agrees to provide to HughesNet™ or its designee, if HughesNet™ asks Customer to, with the owner's name and address, proof that Customer may give HughesNet™ access on the owner's behalf and, if needed, consent from the owner in a form satisfactory to HughesNet™.
