Models Offering one of the widest choices of models in this range of products, the Hurricane P series includes six passive models and seven active models, with many combinations between numbers of ways, power and size. The two sub-woofers with 15” and 18” speakers (available in passive or active versions), can be coupled with different satellites, creating audio set-ups of any size and power for a wide range of applications. Three active stage monitors are also available, with 12” and 15” speakers, able to provide the right solution for any monitoring requirement.

sub units Technology For HF reproduction the Hurricane P series uses compression drivers loaded on an EWT™ horn (Elliptical Waveguide Technology), an elliptical waveguide featuring an exclusive profile designed by LEM labs. This combination provides high pressure and even dispersion together with a clear and accurate sound even at critical levels. The three-way model (HP350) uses, together with an 8” midrange loudspeaker, a high definition super-tweeter, which offers more accuracy and better coverage in the very high frequencies reproduction. The woofers are custom made to LEM’s specifications and feature big size voice coils. They are able to provide great excursion and efficient reproduction of the low frequencies with low distortion even at maximum power. The crossover filters have been designed with no compromises, using oversized components carefully selected after extensive tests. They ensure low distortion and an optimal frequency distribution. In addition, a sophisticated non-intrusive electronic protection circuit is included to prevent the overload of the HF driver. All the models of Hurricane P series (HP500 excluded) are also available in active version.

Each model is equipped with a powerful and reliable amplification module, able to drive the speakers with the right amount of power needed to get the maximum efficiency from each of them. Each amplifier module includes an active EQ circuit, an anti-clipping circuit for loudspeakers’ protection and an active crossover (bi-amplified models).
