Issue Date April 2013 i-Gate 8610 Series Mifare® Contactless SmartCard Reader and Controller I ntroduction The i-Gate 8610 is a series of high performance and optimized SmartCard reader for physical access control, time attendance and security. ® Using utilizes Mifare technology, i-Gate 8610 is compatible with traditional Wiegand interface but reduces the risk of compromised data or duplicated cards. The Clock-and-Data, RS-485 and RS-232 connection also available for connecting to PC’s or dedicated microcontrollers. 8610xDCG By the coded access key or unique serial number realizes the advanced security protection between the users and the system. The integrated keypad provides an additional level of security by allowing the use of personal identification number (PIN). i-Gate 8610 provides both audio and visual feedback with integrated buzzer and LED indicators for user communication. i-Gate 8610 is a compact square reader designed to mount directly to European and Asian size single-gang electrical back boxes. With a special weatherproof potted enclosure and long pigtail, allows easy installation in anywhere both in flush mount and wall mount application. 8610xKCG i-Gate 8610S standalone and 8610N networked door access control reader provide full function of access control with door sensor, release button, alarm buzzer and electrical lock. i-Gate 8610N can be also connected to the workstation for central control and monitoring with the system software. By the use of Mifare contactless smart card technology, encoded access key or unique serial number realizes the advanced security protection between the users and the system. Bundled RS-232 and option Clock-and-Data connection provide flexibility for PC’s or dedicated microcontrollers. 8610R can ® read CSN or corded sector of Mifare One Card. A small access control network can be built easily through OWS installed i-Gate 8610NSFA system software. Maximum 32 sets of 8610N can be supported as an access control system for central doors control and monitoring. Operator does the program and collects data to/from the 8610N(s) just by a few mouse clicks in front of OWS. Central control and monitor become an easy work in small office environment.
