INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for SUNNEN® PF-705 PUMP CONVERSION KIT For Use on Sunnen® PF150D, PF150E, PF150G Filter Units
INTRODUCTION Sunnen®
The PF-705 Pump Conversion Kit is designed for installation on Sunnen PF-150D, E, & G Filter Units, which were originally equipped with Moyno Brand Pumps. Kit includes Continental Pump & Motor, and Mounting Hardware. For all Filter Units listed below: PF-150 (3 Ph.), Models D, E, & G.
TOOLS & MATERIALS The following tools and materials are required for unpacking and installing of your Machine: Knife Screwdriver (Std) Hex Wrenches Open End Wrenches Tin Snips Cleaning Solvent
1. UNPLUG Unit's Electrical Supply Cord from wall receptacle. 2. Open Door and remove any extra Filter Elements stored inside the Unit. 3. Remove Top from Filter Unit. 4. Drain oil from Filter Canister (refer to IOM Instructions packaged with your Unit). 5. Unscrew Pump/Canister Hose Assembly from Swivel Adapter on Reducing Street Elbow, Filter Canister.
PUMP REMOVAL
6. Loosen Screws in filter canister Mounting Bracket. Raise canister until there is sufficient clearance for old Pump Assembly be removed. Tighten Screws in Mounting Bracket.
Remove original Moyo brand Pump & Motor as follows (see Figure 1):
7. Unscrew Outlet Hose Assembly from Swivel Adapter Union, Pump Outlet.

8. Unscrew Intake Hose Assembly from Swivel Adapter Union, Pump Intake.
3. Align hole in Pump Mounting Bracket with hole in Pump Support Bracket and secure using 1/2" Hex Nut and Washer removed in step 10 above.
9. Unscrew By-Pass Hose Assembly from Swivel Adapter Union, Pump Intake.
4. Tighten Bolt securing Pump to Pump Mounting Bracket.
10. Remove 1/2" Hex Nut and Washer securing Pump Mounting Bracket to Pump Support Bracket, Filter Unit base. Save Nut and Washer for reinstallation.
5. Screw Intake Hose Assembly, removed in step 8, into Swivel Adapter, Pump Intake. 6. Screw new Pump/Canister Hose Assembly into Swivel Adapter in Side Outlet Elbow, Pump Outlet.
11. Remove Pump Motor from Filter Unit.
7. Loosen Screws in filter canister Mounting Bracket. Lower canister into operating position. Tighten Screws in Mounting Bracket.
PUMP INSTALLATION Install new PF-540 Pump Conversion Kit as follows (see Figure 2):
8. PLUG Unit's Electrical Supply Cord into wall receptacle.
1. Unscrew remaining plumbing hardware from old pump and install on new pump as shown. l Install new Street Elbow (provided) between Relief Valve and Swivel Adapter, By-Pass Hose. l Replace Side Outlet Elbow, Pump Intake, with new Tee Fitting (provided).
9. Fill and bleed System (refer to Instructions packaged with your Unit). 10. Replace Top on Filter Unit. 11. Place extra Filter Elements inside the Unit and close door.
2. Install By-Pass Hose Assembly removed in step 9 above, between Adapter, Pump Intake and Relief Valve, Pump Outlet.
