ibaNet750-BM In brief ■■ Decentralized input and output system ■■ Bus connection for WAGO-I/O-System 750 ■■ 32 analog inputs and outputs per station ■■ 32 digital inputs and outputs per station ■■ Line topology for input and output functions ■■ Ring topologies for input and output processes ■■ Stand-alone mode ■■ Interface control ■■ Robust plastic enclosure ■■ Assembly on the mounting rail
Characteristics ibaNet750-BM is a device designed to extend the iba I/O functionality range using the I/O modules series 750 produced by WAGO/Beckhoff. The device acts as a gateway between the serial KBUS and the deterministic fiber optic ibaNet network. The device is mostly used in ibaLogic Soft-PLC applications. ibaNet750-BM is the ideal supplement for the range of the peripheral devices. Incremental encoders, SSI-inputs, RTDs, thermocouples and measuring bridges can be integrated into these processes. Different actuator outputs are available.
Realization of a variety of applications
Characteristics of fiber optical interface
■■ I/O-expansion for VMEbus systems with ibaLink-SM128V-i-2o master interfaces (ring or star)
■■ Performs input and output functionality at the same time ■■ Star- and ring topology, can also be used to replace bundles of copper wiring without a PC involved (ring)
■■ Process data acquisition in star-shaped topology with daisy-chain of devices (like ibaPADU-8) ■■ I/O system for ibaLogic Soft-PLC (ring) ■■ I/O-expansion of Siemens Simatic S5 115U, 135U, 155U and 150U with ibaLink-SM-64-io as master interface (needs only 1 slot within the rack) ■■ I/O-expansion of Siemens Simicro MMC216 with ibaLink-SM-64-io
■■ Replacement for copper wires (up to 8 x 136 binary signals in each direction) with only 2 optical fibers over up to 1.28 mls (2 km) distance between single devices
■■ 32 + 32 analog inputs/outputs plus 32 + 32 binary inputs/ outputs per device
ibaNet750-BM devices are usually connected to ibaFOB-4i resp. ibaFOB-4o cards which are installed in a PC. These intelligent fiber optic interface cards provide the process image in a dual-ported ram. The software (e. g. ibaPDA) may read and write the data in its own scan cycle down to 1 ms.
■■ Or up to 512 + 32 binary inputs plus 512 + 32 binary outputs
The following devices exist within the large I/O product family of iba
■■ Or 8 complex terminals, e.g. SSI or incremental encoders + 32 binary inputs plus 8 binary outputs
■■ ibaPADU-8 (±10 V inputs)
■■ Integrated power supply for I/O-modules (max. 1.5 A internal load)
■■ ibaPADU-8-I (±20 mA inputs)
■■ Up to 1.28 mls (2 km) distance between devices ■■ Up to 8 device addresses per ring or star; fiber optic compatible to ibaPADU-8 and ibaPADU-8-O
■■ There are restrictions in combination with ibaPDA concerning the sampling time of the terminals. Due to the internal serial bus of the device (KBUS) no simultaneous process image can be guaranteed below 10 ms sampling time (ibaPADU-8 guarantees 1 ms) ■■ Device can be used as copper wire replacement without a PC involved ■■ All devices on the ibaNet bus will be updated in exact 1 ms cycles
■■ ibaPADU-8-HI (±10 V, 500 Ω) ■■ ibaPADU-16 (16A & 16D) ■■ ibaPADU-32 (32A & 32D, table version) ■■ ibaPADU-32-R (19”rackmount version) ■■ ibaPADU-8-O (output device for open and closed loop control applications) ■■ ibaBM-FOX-i-3o splits 1 optical input to 3 optical outputs, signal regenerations for distances greater than 1.28 mls (2 km) ■■ ibaBM-SLM (SIMOLINK monitor) ■■ ibaBM-DDCSM (ABB DDCS bus monitor) ■■ ibaLink-SM-64-io (SIMATIK S5 (all), MMC216 and ibaLink-SM-128V-i-2o (VME buses)
