Created to withstand the rigors of unattended use, each new 381 mm (15 in) model features a space-saving form factor, an infrared (IR) touch screen, and multiple options for adding peripherals and third-party enclosures. The hybrid design ensures dual-use capability as a kiosk or linked with a POS Hub for maximum business flexibility and reduced IT costs. The entry-level model facilitates easy, rapid deployment, while its potentially compact design is ideal where space is at a premium. The AnyPlace entry-level model can help meet your existing business needs and accommodate future requirements. By leveraging open industry standards, AnyPlace solutions offer broad operating system and application support, enabling you to use many applications that run in a variety of environments. The AnyPlace entry-level models run most off-the-shelf software and applications. Many available applications have been tested by independent software vendors (ISVs) for reliable performance.
Key prerequisites Operating systems:
• Windows® XP Professional (32-bit) • Windows Embedded Point of Service (POS) preloaded on Models 31E and 33E • Windows Vista will be supported Selected models of the IBM AnyPlace Kiosk come with WEPOS and Windows XP preloaded. IBM provides hardware support for clients who create unique Windows XP Embedded images. Drivers are not supplied by IBM for Windows XP Embedded. Field problems for Windows XP Embedded must be recreated using Windows XP Professional.

The new AnyPlace Kiosk entry-level model joins the robust AnyPlace Kiosk family of ultracompact, all-in-one integrated kiosks that are cost effective. Designed to allow businesses to place them almost anywhere, for easy access by consumers and employees alike, these units can be used for both kiosk and POS applications. The compact form allows for flexible placement, whether on an aisle end cap, counter, wall, or integrated into a free-standing floor mount. These flexible mounting options revolutionize how information is conveyed and how consumers can dynamically interact with the self-service kiosk. This affordable entry-level unit has a 381 mm (15 in) flat panel touch screen with superior IR touch technology and optional peripherals in a slim, tapered design. Each system is designed to lower costs with the energy efficient VIA processor that can help reduce the power consumption essential applications. Built in power management can help reduce system energy usage. The units are designed with a robust, stable platform. Choose from a variety of operating systems including Microsoft® Windows. The E models include WEPOS preloaded on the system unit. Retailers can now use this platform as a POS system when combined with the AnyPlace POS Hub feature. This solution gives you an unmatched level of flexibility with the placement of your POS system. It also enables you to deploy only one platform for either kiosk or POS use scenarios. ports, a cash drawer port, and additional power for the AnyPlace system unit. The Hub can be mounted on a shelf, to the underside of a counter, or on a wall. This AnyPlace Kiosk entry-level model is retail hardened to help deliver long life. The rugged, durable exterior is designed to help withstand frequent usage and rough handling, with a sealed, spill-resistant display. These units go through rigorous manufacturing and testing processes to review how they perform in real-world environments.
