It is a universal PCI card featuring a dedicated Intel  I/O processor and a SATA controller chip. This minimizes the need for additional training of IT staff and can help lower the total cost of ownership to manage and control large numbers of ServeRAID-protected, IBM xSeries  servers deployed throughout the enterprise.
