Q02: What kind of storage devices yo u can plug into the "CF" post? A02: Fully compatible with Compact Flash Association specification standards, Compact Flash Card (Type I and Type II) / MicroDrive.
Q03: What kind of the storage devices you can plug into the "MS/SD/SM" port? A03: Memory Stick Card plug into the “MS” port; Secure Digital Card and Multi Media Card plug into the “SD” port; Smart Media Card plug into the “SM” port.
Q04: Would you help me correct plug in the Memory Stick card? A04: Please check Figure1 is right and Figure2 is wrong as follows.

Software Q01: Why I select install type is “Typical”, the software seems none install the driver or disk monitor? A01: About “Typical” and “Complete” setup, the different is as follows : 1. “Typical setup” only supports the chipset driver. 2. “Complete installation” provides all drive, tool and application. The BIOS lock USB card reader is only adaptable to the “Complete installation”. So please select install type is “Complete installation”.
Q02: Where can I download the driver for my USB card reader? A02: Please visit ECS Web Site (http://www.ecs.com.tw/download/drivers_p.htm), you will find the driver you need and download it.
Q03: Is the USB card reader working normally under MAC and Linux OS? A03: The USB card reader did not support the MAC and Linux OS.
Q04: Does Windows 95 and Windows NT support USB card reader? A04: Windows 95 and Windows NT don’t have proper USB function, so we don't recommend our customers to use USB card reader in Windows 95 and Windows NT OS.
Q05: Why the USB card reader can not recognize the Memory Stick card. A05: Please installed USB card reader driver that Memory Stick card can be recognized under OS.
Q06: Which version of motherboard CD will comes with card reader driver? A06: You can find this driver in the motherboard CD 1.9S, 1.9VI, 8.17A, 8.14B, 8.13C, and 1.0X in the path: \Peripheral\Card Reader\UCR-61S2B\Driver2
Q07: What kind of OS/driver we can support? A07: Supports the latest operating systems and supporting software applications/driver including Windows® XP, Windows® 2000, Windows® ME and Windows® 98/98SE.
Q08: Why does it have yellow mark on Device Manager if I safely removed the USB card reader and re-plug again? A08: Since Windows 2000 is unstable with SP2. Please install Windows 2000 SP3 then it will not appear yellow mark again. We recommend our customers don’t safely remove USB card reader and re-plug again on Windows 2000 OS with SP2.
Q09: Why there is a green arrow when you are using USB Card Reader in Windows ME OS? How can you solve the problem? A09: Please installation the UCR-61S2B Card Reader driver.
Q10: Why does the card reader appear duplication partition on Windows 98SE? A10: It’s just the BIOS enable “USB Legacy Support” and you plug USB card reader and boot up,
it will appear duplication partition on Windows 98SE. It still can use card reader on Windows 98SE.
Q11: Can I take out the CF/MS/SD/SM card when I read the file? A11: No. When you plug the storage card and you don’t read the files, the Access LED is always on. If you read the file, the Access LED is flashing. Please DO NOT take out any storage cards as it’s flashing.
Q12: Why do I format storage card on PC but I can’t use storage card again on my device (for example: digital camera)? A12: Device vendors and we recommend our customer’s format the storage card on your device better than on PC. If your device doesn’t have format function, please use “delete” or “erase” function to your storage card.
Q13: If you don’t know where problem is, how can you do? A13: Please do the step as below, 1. Turn off the power. 2. Remove AC power code. 3. Re-plug USB card reader cable from M/B. 4. Re-install the driver again If you still don’t detect USB card reader, please contact local sales.
