Cold temps. HAZARDS PRESENT    Fire Electric shock Entanglement (hair) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS      Equipment Orientation and Teacher Instruction. Wear appropriate footwear. Shoes must be fully enclosed, no open toes. E.g. sandals Close fitting clothes must be worn. Remove strings hanging from pullovers/sweaters. Aprons must be worn. Long and loose hair must be tied back. SAFE WORK PROCEDURE DO NOT use this machine unless a teacher has instructed you on its safe use and operation and has given permission. PRE-USE INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Good housekeeping habits have been employed and that the floor and surrounding area is dry and free of tripping hazards. 2. The operating switches and electrical cords are undamaged and in good working condition. 3. Unplug the unit when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts / accessories / and before cleaning. 4. Keep hands and utensils out of the freezer bowl wile in use to prevent injuries. 5. Place the freezer bowl into the freezer 6-22 hrs prior to use. The bowl must be completely frozen prior to use. SAFE WORK PROCEDURE Ice Cream Maker Page 2 of 2 OPERATING PROCEDURE: 1. Prepare the recipe ingredients to be used. 2. Remove the freezer bowl from the freezer and place the bowl on the centre of the base. 3. Place the mixing arm into the freezer bowl and rest it in the centre of the bowl with the circle side facing up. 4. Place the lid on the base. 5. Plug in the machine into a standard wall outlet. 6. Press the on/ off switch to the on position and the bowl will begin to turn. 7. Pour the mixed ingredients into the bowl through the ingredient spout. 8. Food items will be frozen in approximately 20-30 minutes depending on the recipe and volume added. When the mixture has thickened significantly it is done. 9. Additional ingredients such as chips and nuts should be added about five minutes before the recipe is complete. Pour in ingredients through the ingredients spout. CLEAN UP: 1. Clean the freezer bowl, mixing arm and lid in warm soapy water. Do not put the freezer bowl into the dishwasher. Clean and dry thoroughly. 2. Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth or sponge. 3. Return the freezer bowl to the freezer and the machine to the proper storage location. If and emergency situation occurs while conducting this task or there is an equipment malfunction, shut the equipment off immediately and unplug it.
