Charging the iJet-Nav-Pro Remote Control
The remote control unit should always be stored plugged into the dock so it will stay charged. The battery performance can be maximized by always returning the remote to the docking carriage for charge. In order for the remote to charge via the iJet-Nav-Pro dock, the power cube must be plugged into a wall outline and the other end connected to the 5VDC input on the rear of the docking unit. While not in use, place the remote back into the remote charging cradle on the docking unit. While the remote is charging it will blink in the display “charging”. The typical time for the remote to fully charge is 3 hours. The remote will indicate when it is fully charged by displaying “charge complete”. It will display “charge complete” for ten minutes then it will go blank.
Figure 3 – Remote Docking Carriage The charge should last for several days, dependent on how often the remote is used. When the remote is not in use, return it to the docking station so that it can charge. There is a battery level indicator in the upper right hand corner of the display. This will indicate how much battery life is left in the remote.
Figure 4 – Remote Display
Dock the iPod onto the 30 pin connection on the dock of the iJet-Nav-Pro. If the remote and the iPod are both docked then the iPod keyboard will be active and functional. When the iPod is docked and the remote is removed from the dock then the iPod will display “OK to disconnect” (note: The remote must be charged) and the iPod keyboard will be locked out. If the remote is placed back into the dock for charge the iPod controls will become enabled and it will exit the “OK to disconnect” mode. Be sure to connect the audio cable from the audio output on

The remote control has on it a wheel shaped key pad for maneuvering the menus and entering song selections, settings, etc. See figure 5 below.

The iPhone
Make sure that the iPhone is in the iPod mode before docking the iPhone on the iJet-Nav-Pro docking station. The iJet-Nav-Pro is a music control device therefore the Apple product must be in the correct mode before docking. Waiting for iPod Message
The “waiting for the iPod” and/or “Out of Range” message may appear for short duration while the remote waits for the communication link with the dock. If either of these message don’t go away after a short period of time, verify that the iPod is docked on the iJet-Nav-Pro and that the iPod is in the “OK to Disconnect” mode. If you are to far from the dock with the remote control unit, then the “Out of Range” message will appear indicating that you must move closer as communications has been lost. The Remote control communicates with the dock for song, artist and other settings via Radio Frequency communication. Each time new information is to be displayed then the remote will request only the information needed. The artists and playlists information is sent in real time to the iPod remote control. Down loading of song lists and artist list into the remote is no longer necessary as in other products. It will update continuously because it is in constant communication with the iPod. No need to wait for the iPod to send large amounts of data to the remote, the remote will only request the most relevant data it needs to display on the remote. Display Main Menu
On the remote display from the main menu there are 6 categorize that can be selected that are listed below. Each will be described in the following sections. Main Menu Play/Pause Playlists Artists Songs Settings Tech Support
