IMC-1000M(-E) oraz IMC-1000MS(-E) to konwertery klasy przemysłowej wyposażone w port miedziany 10/100/1000Base-T(X)oraz wolny slot SFP 100/1000Base-X lub dostępny w wersj z zabudowaną optyką ze złączem SC. Urządzenia posiadają solidną metalową obudowę wytrzymałą na uszkodzenia mechaniczne oraz długi MTBF gawarantujący stabilną i niezawodną jakość pracy. Sprzęt w wersji (-E) przeznaczony jest do pracy w rozszerzonym zakresie temperatur oraz do montażu na ścianie lub szynie DIN. Konwerter ma możliwość zazrądzania Web Smart OAM, które to zapewnia prostą kontrolę nad urządzeniem, gdzie ma mozliwość kontrolowania pasma, prękości konfiguracji sieci VLAN. Urządzenia są zgodne ze standardem IEEE802.3ah, dzięki czemu przy komnukacji z przełącznikiem również zgodnym z tym standardem wpiera funkcję "loop back" oraz "dying gasp".
