Thank you for choosing Obaby. To ensure that your stroller is used in accordance with these instructions, please read them fully. The stroller conforms to EN 1888 : 2003 and the car seat conforms to ECE Regulations 44.04 for babies from birth up to 13kg weight (about 12 months old). The travel system is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects. If, however you have any problems, please contact your Obaby retailer from whom you purchased your product, who will take appropriate action.

Your child’s safety may be affected if you do not follow these instructions. WARNING: A child’s safety is your responsibility WARNING: Never leave your child unattended in the seat, even whilst they are sleeping WARNING: Children should be harnessed in at all times. Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt WARNING: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use WARNING: DO NOT hang shopping bags from the handle as this may affect the stroller’s stability. Use the basket provided - maximum weight 3kg WARNING: This product is not suitable for running or skating. Never run or skate with your travel system, especially across roads WARNING: It may be dangerous to leave your child unattended WARNING: Do not use this product as a bed, your child may become tangled in straps and suffocate WARNING: The child should be clear of moving parts while making adjustments or opening or folding the stroller. Risk of serious injury (entrapment, laceration or amputation) exists WARNING: Do not use this car seat in passenger seats equipped with airbags WARNING: This car seat must only be installed in the rearward facing position. Do not use on side facing or rear facing vehicle seats WARNING: Never use this car seat without fastening the child’s harness correctly, and never attempt to use it without fastening it into the car as specified in these instructions WARNING: It is most important that the seat belt is correctly routed with the lap portion of the belt through the side guides and the diagonal belt going through the guides on the back of the child car seat. Ensure the belt straps are not twisted WARNING: The car seat must be tightened down on the upholstery as tight as possible to ensure maximum protection. WARNING: Do not add to or modify the seat in any way. This could render the seat unsafe WARNING: It is recommended that this car seat should be replaced when it has been subjected to violent stresses in an accident or has become badly worn WARNING: Periodically inspect the harness for wear, paying particular attention to the attachment points, stitching and adjusting devices WARNING: The carrying handle must be in the correct position when used in the car WARNING: Ensure that no part of the seat is trapped in a door or folding seat. If your car has a folding rear seat, ensure that it is correctly latched in the upright position WARNING: The seat should not be used without the correct covers. Never remove the polystyrene impact absorbent pads between the seat shell and the cover WARNING: Never place the seat on a table or work surface with the child in it, or on high surfaces or beds, sofas or other soft surfaces WARNING: When using the car seat on the chassis, ensure the car seat is correctly engaged before use • Overloading, incorrect folding and the use of non approved accessories may cause damage or break the stroller • This stroller is only compatible with the Obaby Monty Car Seat • Always balance the weight of the stroller evenly • Car interiors can become very hot when in direct sunlight, it is therefore recommended that the child car seat is covered when not in use. This prevents components, particularly those attached to the child car seat, becoming hot and burning the child • In the event of an emergency, it is important that the child can be released quickly. This means that the buckle is not fully tamper-proof and so your child must be taught never to play with the buckle. The buckle should always be easily accessible. In an emergency your child can be released quickly by pressing the red button on the harness buckle • Luggage and other heavy or sharp objects should be secured in the car. Loose objects are liable to cause injury in the event of an accident • Keep this user guide in a safe place where it can easily be found • If you travel with passengers using both front and rear seats, the lighter occupants should be in the back and heavier occupants in the front of the vehicle • When the car seat is not in use in the car, it is recommended that it is fastened into the car with a seat belt to avoid it being thrown about in the event of an accident • We advise that your travel system is not stored or left out side at any time • Store this car seat in a safe place when it is not being used. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of it

Getting to know your Stroller
• Do not allow the seat to come into contact with any corrosive substances eg. battery acid, or solvents • This travel system requires regular maintenance by the user • This car seat can be used in all vehicles equipped with 3 point safety belts, with a retractor approved to UN/ECE Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards • It may be unsafe to use replacement parts or accessories e.g. child seats, bag hooks, rain covers, etc, other than those approved by the manufacturer or distributor • This stroller is intended to carry one child from birth and up to a maximum weight of 15kg • This car seat is intended to carry one child from birth and up to a maximum weight of 13kg ROUTINE CARE & MAINTENANCE - For cleaning, use only a mild detergent and warm water - DO NOT USE BLEACH - DO NOT USE any abrasive substances - From time to time, check your car seat for loose screws, worn parts, torn material or stitching. Replace or adjust the parts as needed. Due to constant updating and improvements, some components may occasionally differ slightly from the images shown in these instructions. We reserve the rights to change the specifications of any products without prior notice. The Raincover can be attached by the following method.
Remove the pin from the end of the axle, along with one of the washers (fig.B). Push wheel onto axle making sure correct side faces outward (fig.C). Slide remaining washer over axle and insert the pin into the hole in the axle (fig.D). Locate hubcap over the centre of the wheel, it has 3 small, unevenly distributed, orientation locators. Push to click and secure the hubcap in place (fig.E).
Close the back of the raincover around the hood of the stroller and secure using the velcro tabs (fig.G).
Repeat for opposite wheel, complete assembly should look like (fig.F). The whole rear axle assembly can now be clipped onto the exposed metal ends of the stroller frame. The axle assembly has two red brake pedals, these face the rear towards the parent. WARNING: Ensure that all pins that hold the wheels on are secured fully, before use. The rear axle assembly should be fully inserted and securely clicked into the stroller frame before use.

Open the raincover and drape over the stroller. The raincover can be used with the car seat in place too.
Secure the bottom of the raincover using the velcro straps (fig.H), around the front leg of the stroller (fig.I), and repeat for the opposite front side. Secure the lower rear of the raincover around the rear leg of the stroller (fig.J & K). Repeat for the opposite rear side. Your raincover is fitted (fig.L).

To open your stroller release the storage clip on the side of the stroller (fig.1 & 2). Lift the handles away from the wheels (fig.3). Ensure the frame clicks into place on both sides of the stroller (fig.4-6). WARNING: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use. The child should be clear of moving parts while making adjustments or opening or folding the stroller. Risk of serious injury (entrapment, laceration or amputation) exists.

Before attempting to fold your stroller - The front wheels should be locked in place - The basket and seat unit should be empty - The hood should be folded - The seat should be fully upright To fold the stroller, release the primary lock, on the left hand side of the handle, by lifting the catch as shown (fig.7). Then, while keeping the primary release catch lifted, release the secondary lock by pressing the button behind the centre of the handle and then lift the catch underneath the handle (fig.8 & 9). Lift the handle slightly forward then push the handle down towards the wheels (fig.10), until completely folded (fig.11). Ensure the storage clip has engaged (fig.12).

To fit the front wheels, push the wheels onto the front legs (fig.13) until they click into place (fig.14). To remove the front wheels press the button on the side of the leg beneath the wheel and slide the wheel away (fig.15).

To lock the brakes fully, push down on each brake lever using your foot (fig.19 & 20). To release the brakes, lift each brake lever using your foot (fig.21).

To put the wheels in swivel mode, push the lever down on the front of each front wheel (fig.16). To lock the swivel wheels, first ensure the front wheels are facing forward inline with the chassis, then lift the lever up (fig.17 & 18).

To put upright, simply lift the back of the seat to the desired height (fig. 22). To recline the backrest, lift the lever at the back of the seat (fig. 23) and lower to the desired position (fig. 24).

To fit the play tray, hold the play tray upright and slide the locating pin into the receiver facing up on the chassis (fig.25). Rotate the play tray around using the locating pin as a pivot. Press the button underneath the play tray and lower into position on the chassis (fig.26 & 27). Press
To remove the play tray, press the button underneath the play tray and lift the tray up (fig.26). Rotate the play tray fully around using the locating pin as a pivot (fig.27a), and slide the play tray out.

To fasten the harness, insert both fasteners on the waist strap into the clasp on the crotch strap (fig.31) and clip each chest strap onto the waist strap (fig.32 & 33). To release the harness, press the button in the centre of the clasp and remove the waist strap fasteners (fig.34). Adjust the harness length using the buckles on each strap (fig.35). ‘D’ Ring The ‘D’ rings highlighted are provided for fitting a separate harness complying with BS 6684 (fig.36). WARNING: Ensure the harness is correctly fitted before use. The harness should always be adjusted to fit correctly. Children should be harnessed in at all times. Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist strap.

To adjust the hood, simply lift or lower the hood to the desired position (fig.28-30).

Before fitting the car seat, ensure the stroller seat is fully reclined and the play tray is securely fitted. Lower the car seat on to chassis (fig.37). Ensure the car seat clicks into place (fig.38 & 39) on both sides of the seat. If you wish, rotate the handle by pressing the red button on either side of the car seat (fig.40).

When the car seat is correctly fitted the indicators will turn green (fig.41 & 42). Tip: When removing the car seat with playtray fitted, you will need to add a small amount of downward force.

To remove the car seat, first rotate the handle to the upright position by pressing the red button on either side of the car seat. Lift the release catch underneath the car seat (fig.44) and lift the car seat away from the chassis (fig.45).

To fasten the harness, overlap the fasteners on the chest straps (fig.49) and clip into the clasp on the crotch strap (fig.50 & 51). To release the harness, press the button in the centre of the clasp and remove the chest strap fastners (fig.52). fig. 46

The car seat handle has 3 positions: Fig.46 - For carrying your child or fitting in the car Fig.47 - When fitted on the stroller or for rocking your baby Fig.48 - When used as a seat, eg. for feeding To adjust the handle position, press the handle release button on either side of the car seat and turn the handle to the required position, release the buttons. Check the handle has clicked into place. Always check that the handle is locked and the harness fastened before lifting the car seat.

To slacken the harness, press the harness release button then lift the chest straps (fig.53) To tighten the harness pull on the harness strap as shown (fig.54). WARNING: Ensure the harness is correctly fitted before use. The harness should always be adjusted to fit correctly. Children should be harnessed in at all times. Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist strap.

STEP 1 Put the child car seat rearward facing into the car and ensure that it is pushed firmly up against the back rest of the passenger car seat (fig.56). STEP 2 Route the lap section of the adult safety belt through the two lap belt guides, one on either side, and fasten the car seat belt (fig.57). STEP 3 Pass the diagonal section of the seat belt around the back of the child car seat, then pass the seat belt through the diagonal belt guide (fig.58). fig. 55

STEP 4 Take out all the slack in the seat belt, ensuring that there are no twists or kinks in the seat belt (fig.59).

When fitted, the security of the child car seat can be tested by pressing firmly into the back rest (fig.60). The seat should feel very firm and move only slightly. If the seat does not feel secure, go back and follow the fitting instructions closely. Make sure the carry handle on the child car seat is in the upright position as shown. Only once the seat is secure is it ready for use.

WARNING: This child car seat can only be fitted into a passenger seat of a car with a 3-point lap and diagonal seat belt, and no air bag (fig.55). However safe a child car seat is, however well built it is, your child’s safety depends on you. Read this section thoroughly before fitting your child car seat in your car. REMEMBER: Misusing your child car seat will reduce the protection and safety you offer your child. • Ensure the harness is adjusted to suit your child. A fitting for winter clothes will be too loose for a child wearing summer clothes. • Install the child car seat carefully using the 3-point lap and diagonal belt, as described in this section. • Check that your child car seat is secure before each journey. • Do not use in a car passenger seat fitted with an airbag. • Always secure the seat belt around the child car seat.
