Make sure Control Connector is securely connected to the Throw Connector (Figure 1). Push both parts together for a tight fit. NOTE: The connectors are keyed to only fit one way; align arrow. 1. Plug into any 120V AC electrical outlet. 2. To turn on, press the Power Button. Shawl/throw will NOT turn on until you press the Power Button. NOTE: If the heat level indicators do not light up or stay on, the plug or Control Connector may not be firmly and completely connected. Unplug from wall outlet, check the Throw connection again and re-plug into outlet. 3. Select from 4 heat settings by pressing Push-Button successively to achieve desired heat level. To turn OFF, you must scroll through the remaining heat settings by pressing the Power Button sequentially. 1. Control Connector 4. Allow your shawl/throw to preheat for several minutes. 2. Alignment Arrows NOTE: A red blinking “High” light indicates an error has occurred. Unplug from outlet, verify physical condition of cord, function of AC outlet and proper connection between connector and throw/shawl. If blinking light persists, discontinue use and contact Consumer Services. AUTO-OFF FEATURE Your controller includes an Auto-Off feature. This feature is designed to conserve energy by automatically turning off after 3 hours of continuous use. The red Auto-Off light will blink, indicating that this feature has activated. NOTE: After a power outage, the Auto-Off feature automatically resets the timer. CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR PRODUCT We recommend washing before initial use. DO NOT BLEACH. Before Washing or Storing Your Heated Shawl/Throw: 1 . Disconnect power cord from wall BEFORE detaching control cord from the heated product. 2. Ensure that no cords are still connected and none of the wires have worn through the fabric. 3. Carefully follow all washing instructions or your heated product may shrink and possibly cause a fire hazard. • DO NOT submerge control in water. • DO NOT dry clean your heated product. Dry cleaning solvents may damage the wires. • DO NOT use bleach or cleaning fluids. • DO NOT use a wringer. • DO NOT iron your heated product. • DO NOT use mothballs or sprays of any kind. • DO NOT reconnect the heated product or use it until it is COMPLETELY dry. • DO NOT wash or put into water the power cord or any of the product’s cords. • DO NOT use analgesic cream in combination with your heated product. Taking care of your heated product is easy and safe as long as you follow a few simple steps. Machine Washing 1. Presoak the shawl/throw for 15 minutes in mild soap and cold water. 2. Wash in mild soap and cold water on the “delicate” or “gentle” cycle in the washer for two minutes. Remember, do not use bleach. 3. Rinse in fresh, cold water. 4. Spin dry in the washing machine. Then gently stretch to its original size. Machine Drying CAUTION: Do not use commercial dryers or the dryers at your local laundromat.They get too hot and would damage the wiring of the heated product. 1. Preheat the dryer on the “low” temperature setting for 2 minutes. 2. Place throw/shawl into the dryer and tumble dry for 10 minutes at a low temperature. 3. Remove the throw/shawl while it is still damp and gently stretch it to its original size. 4. Drape the heated product over a clothesline or a shower rod. DO NOT use clothespins. 5. Heated product must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug. Hand Drying 1. Gently stretch the shawl/throw back to its original size. 2. Drape the heated product over a clothesline or hang over a shower rod. DO NOT use clothespins. 3. Heated product must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug. Assembler les deux parties pour obtenir une connexion serrée. REMARQUE: un seul assemblage est possible – faire concorder les flèches. 1. Brancher sur prise de courant alternatif de 120 volts. 2. Presser la touche d’alimentation pour allumer. Le châle/jeté ne s’allumera PAS sans pression sur la touche d’alimentation. REMARQUE: si les indicateurs de niveau de chauffage ne s’allument pas ou ne restent pas allumés, il se pourrait que la connexion ne soit pas serrée. Débrancher le châle à la prise, vérifier la connexion puis rebrancher. 3. Choisir l’un des 4 réglages de chaleur en appuyant sur le boutonpoussoir. Pour ÉTEINDRE le châle, faire défiler les réglages de chaleur 1. Connecteur de la commande qui restent en appuyant coup sur coup sur le bouton-poussoir. 2. Connecteur du châle 4. Si le voyant continue à clignoter, cesser d’employer le châle et communiquer avec le service à la clientèle. ARRÊT AUTOMATIQUE La commande comprend la fonction d’arrêt automatique – pour économiser l’énergie, celle-ci éteint automati­ quement le châle après 3 heures d’emploi continu. Le voyant rouge d’arrêt automatique signale que la fonction est activée. REMARQUE: après une panne de courant, la fonction réinitialise automatiquement le minuteur. SOINS ET ENTRETIEN DU CHÂLE/JETÉ Nous conseillons de le laver avant l’emploi initial. NE PAS EMPLOYER D’EAU DE JAVEL. Avant de laver ou de ranger le châle/jeté chauffant 1 . Débrancher le cordon d’alimentation à la prise AVANT de séparer le cordon de la commande du produit. 2. Veiller à ce qu’aucun cordon ne reste branché et qu’aucun fil n’ait transpercé le tissu. 3. Respecter les instructions de lavage pour éviter que le châle ne rétrécisse ou ne cause un risque d’incendie. • NE PAS submerger la commande dans l’eau. • NE PAS nettoyer le produit chauffant à sec – les solvants pourraient abîmer les fils électriques. • NE PAS utiliser d’eau de Javel ou d’essence à détacher. • NE PAS passer le produit chauffant dans une essoreuse. • NE PAS repasser le produit chauffant. • NE PAS employer de boules de naphtaline ou de produits en vaporisateurs – quels qu’ils soient. • NE PAS brancher le produit chauffant ou le mettre en fonction avant qu’il ne soit ABSOLUMENT sec. • NE laver ou ne mettre AUCUN cordon du produit chauffant dans l’eau. • NE PAS se servir simultanément de crèmes analgésiques et du produit chauffant. Prendre soin du produit chauffant est simple et sans risque, il suffit d’observer de simples instructions. Lavage en machine 1. Faire tremper le châle/jeté pendant 15 minutes dans de l’eau froide additionnée de savon neutre. 2. Le laver à l’eau froide avec un savon doux, au cycle délicat, pendant deux minutes. Ne surtout pas employer d’eau de Javel. 3. Rincer le châle à l’eau claire froide. 4. L’essorer à la machine puis l’étirer délicatement pour lui redonner sa taille originale. Séchage en machine ATTENTION: n’utiliser ni sécheuse commerciale ni sécheuse de laverie automatique – le niveau de température élevé de ces machines abîmerait les fils électriques. 1. Préchauffer la sécheuse à la température «basse» pendant 2 minutes. 2. Placer le châle/jeté dans la machine et le faire sécher 10 minutes par culbutage à basse température. 3. Sortir le châle/jeté de la sécheuse alors qu’il est encore humide et l’étirer pour lui redonner sa taille originale. 4. Terminer le séchage sur une corde à linge ou sur une barre de salle de bains, SANS employer d’épingles à linge. 5. Ne brancher le châle ou sa commande que lorsqu’il est TOTALEMENT sec. Séchage à l’air 1. Étirer délicatement le châle/jeté pour lui redonner sa taille originale. 2. L’étendre sur une corde à linge ou sur une barre de salle de bains, SANS se servir d´épingles à linge. 3. Ne rebrancher le châle/jeté ou sa commande que lorsqu’il est ABSOLUMENT sec.
