IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS FOR STARTING If the door opening does not coincide with the point where the relays meet, the connection of the motor cables must be changed on junctions 6 and 7. Should the panel be blocked, turn off the mains and turn on again. When connecting an optional card, for it to be recognised by the panel the panel should be turned off and restarted with the card inserted.
4. WORKING BASE PLATE Close: Contact button Normally Open only for Closing. Stop: Button Normally Closed. If this is not used, junctions 15 16 must be bridged. Stop the manoeuvre and leave the control panel while waiting for new orders. Manual run ends (FC.CL FC.OP): These include two independent contacts that mechanically indicate the run end for opening and closing. Normally Closed. If not used, junctions 12-13 and 12-14 should be bridged. Outlet 24 V AC: Allows any unit to be supplied a voltage of 24 V AC. With a maximum consumption of 1 A. Outlet 12 V DC: Allows any unit to be supplied a voltage of 12 V DC. With a consumption of 1 A. Auxiliary outlet contact: When opened this gives a beat of 3 seconds for activation, for example, of an automatic light trip switch, etc. LOGIC CARD Alternate: (START): Normally open. This allows a pushbutton to be connected for opening and closing. On the first press it opens, on the following (if the run end has not been reached) it stops and on the third it closes. If pressed while the manoeuvring operation is under way, it pauses for 1.5 seconds and opens. The TEST button of the plate works in the same way. Security Contacts (SEC.CL-SEC.OP): *For closing (SEC.CL): Photocell type contact, magnetic detector or contact strip. Activated during closing, causing a stop and reversal of the run. Normally off. If not used, the junctions Common and SEC.CL of the logic card should be bridged. *For opening (SEC.OP): A contact activated during the opening. It causes the door to stop and reverse, momentarily reversing the manoeuvre for 2 seconds. Normally off. Highly recommended for sliding door security. If not used, junctions Common and SEC.OP of the logic card should be bridged. 29

Open: Contact button Normally Open only for opening.
Autotest (A.TEST): Allows the autotest outlet to be connected and incorporates some security photocells. 4.1 OPTIONAL CARDS: Receiver card To work on the control panel with remote control, proximity switches or intelligent cards in the same way as with the alternate contact.
Magnetic detector card This carries out the same function as the exterior magnetic detector, but without cables. It allows working as a pushbutton to open and/ or security contact. It also includes frequency variation selection and retard application in presence deactivation.
Alarm card This card has the function of using the Security Contact to warn of the entry of an unauthorised vehicle or individual Anti-intruder function, and allows the connector of an acoustic alarm or red warning light. Once inserted and recognised by the control panel, if, during the opening movement, the Security Contact is fired without having pressed the corresponding authorised control, the relay of the Alarm Card is activated. However, although an intruder is detected, the manoeuvre is carried out to the end, nevertheless, once complete the control panel does not carry out the close operation, but leaves the door open and activates an alarm until it receives the signal from an authorised control or the direct activation of the Alternate or Stop button (one press for the alarm and the second for closing the door. The 30
stop button only stops the Alarm and when pressed a second time does not close the door).
If the no. 3 switch of the logic card of the Universal panel is OFF, and the alarm card is inserted, and the cell fails to detect the passage of any vehicle or person, it will wait the time programmed and begin the closing operation. If it detects the passage of a person or vehicle, it will begin the closing operation immediately after the obstacle has passed (without waiting the time programmed). On the other hand, if, after a first vehicle or person has passed, a second unauthorised vehicle or person is detected, the alarm card will undertake its warning function and the control panel will not carry out the closing manoeuvre until it receives the order from an authorised control, the Alternate or Stop button. Logic card Set the closed door with the run ends (if there are any) duly turned on and the option selector set up as in the diagram. Press the button Programming (TIMER PROG.). The programming led will light up immediately. Press the Test button. The opening manoeuvre will start. Press the Test button or allow the FC.OP to stop the manoeuvre. The door opening has been timed and will begin to memorise the waiting time for automatic door closing.
closing will already have been timed.
Press the Test button. The closing manoeuvre will start. The waiting time for automatic door
Press the Test button or allow the FC.CL to stop the manoeuvre. The door closing will already have been timed. Press the Programming button (TIMER PROG.). The programming led will go out. The memorising of the whole of the door manoeuvre will be complete.

If the intrusion is detected during the closing manoeuvre, the control panel makes a reverse blow, activates the TSA alarm card and leaves the door open until an authorised control is pressed or the Alternate or Stop button (first press to stop the alarm and the second to close the door, but the automatic programmed timed drop is not carried out).

Depending on the position of the traffic regulation selector, it carries out two functions: Manoeuvre signalling While the door is closed, there is no signal. When ordered to open, the contact of the interior and exterior red lights makes an intermittent pre-warning of 3 seconds before obeying the manoeuvre. 33

AUTOMATIC INDUSTRIAL
During opening, the two red lamps will light (interior/exterior). While the door is open, the two red lamps turn off and the two green lamps come on (interior/exterior). Before beginning the closing manoeuvre, the interior and exterior green light contact makes an intermittent pre-warning for 3 seconds. While the door is closing, the two green lamps turn off and the two red lamps light again. Traffic regulation When this option is activated, the traffic light card interprets the Alternate contact as exterior open button and the Open contact as interior open button. While the door is closed, there is no signal. When ordered to open, the interior and exterior red light contact gives an intermittent pre-warning for 3 seconds before obeying the manoeuvre. While the door is opening, the two red lamps will light (interior/exterior). Once the door is open, the corresponding lamps will light depending on the point of activation:
ACTIVATION Interior open button Exterior open button
RED SIGNAL Exterior lamp Interior lamp
GREEN SIGNAL Interior lamp Exterior lamp
Before beginning the close manoeuvre, the interior or exterior green light contact (depending on the case) will give an intermittent pre-warning of 3 seconds. While the door is closing, the two red lamps will light (interior/ exterior). By cutting the bridge Opening flash inhibition (see logic card diagram), no pre-warning will be given when opening, but one will be given when closing.
34
Flash card By means of the contact intermittently activated, this gives a warning 3 seconds before the opening or closing manoeuvre begins and while it is being carried out.
IMPORTANT ANNEXE In compliance with the European directive on low voltage, we inform you of the following requirements: * For units permanently turned on, the cabling must include an easily accessible turn-off mechanism. * The unit must be installed vertically, firmly fixed to the structure of the building. * The unit may only be handled by a specialised installer, by maintenance personnel or by a suitably instructed operator. * Instructions on the use of the unit must remain in the possession of the user. The CE marking on the apparatus means that it complies with the dispositions of directives 89/336/CEE on electromagnetic compatibility and 73/23/CEE on low voltage and the same in modified form 93/68/CEE.

By cutting the bridge Opening flash inhibition (see logic card diagram), the prewarning will not be given on opening, but it will on closing.
