IFS I & II Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit 1 InfoStation Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit NOTE: Information contained in this document applies to both the DXIFS-TKIT (Gray tower kit for the IFS I chassis) and S10A137 (Black tower kit for the IFS II chassis). This kit provides all the parts necessary to convert an existing rack mount InfoStation to a tower configuration. Unplug the InfoStation and verify that all cables have been disconnected. 2. Place the InfoStation on a soft clean surface to protect the finish of the chassis. 3. Remove the two (2) screws securing each chassis handle to the InfoStation mounting flanges (Figure 2). D89-0000-0113 Rev. B00 StorCase Technology, Inc. 2 NOTE: IFS I & II Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit Save handles! Handles will be needed if the chassis is ever reverted back to a rack mount configuration. Once the handles are removed, attach the tower base to the chassis and secure with the six (6) #10-32 Phillips screws provided (Figure 3). The chassis will have to be turned upside-down in order to secure the base to the chassis (Figure 4). Attach the top base panel and secure with the six (6) #6-32 Phillips screws provided (Figure 5). IFS I & II Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit Once the top base panel is attached, the top cover is ready to be installed. Make certain the bottom tabs on the cover are lined up with the mounting slots on the top base panel (Figure 4). Once installed, secure the cover with one (1) #6-32 Phillips Pan Hd. screw provided (Figure 6). #6-32 Phillips Pan Hd. Attach the side cover brackets to both sides of the InfoStation chassis with four (4) #6-32 Phillips Pan Hd. screws provided (Figure 7). B00 IFS I & II Rack-to-Tower Conversion Kit 8. 5 Attach each side panel to the chassis by lining up the four (4) bottom slots on the panel with the four (4) tabs on the base. Once tabs are lined up, slide panel forward onto chassis (Figure 8). Secure each panel to the chassis with one (1) #6-32 black Phillips screw provided (Figure 9).
