Innova-Oraltronics Implant Systems
A Endopore One-Stage
fter years of research and development, Innova entered the dental implant market in 1995 with a unique patented dental implant system. Innova has enjoyed tremendous success in serving the healthcare community around the world. The company pursues new and complementary medical device technologies and products that leverage its existing marketing structure and enhance its industry reputation. In 2004, Innova was acquired by the Sybron Dental Specialties, greatly enhancing Innova's R&D resources and potential for growth. The Endopore® Implant System was developed at the University of Toronto in 1983. Innova offers the Endopore Implant System with three types of implants: a one-stage internal Morse taper, an internal hex and an external hex implant. Other Innova implants systems are the Entegra®, a threaded external hex, the Pitt-Easy®, a self-tapping internal hex and the new internal connection Anatomic ® with an asymmetrical design replicating the form and structure of natural dentition. n Endopore 4.1 & 5.0 — 4.8 platform, One-Stage Internal Morse Taper n Endopore 4.1 & 5.0 — 4.1 & 5.0 platform, Internal Hex n Pitt-Easy 3.25, 3.75, 4.0, 4.9, Internal Hex

Terminology of Components
Restorative Components: The restorative components are the elements used to fabricate a restoration that will be connected to the implant(s). The restoration may also be attached to an intermediate component called a tissue extension or abutment which in turn is connected to the implant(s).
Implant Body: The implant body is placed into the bone for approximately 4-6 months to allow for osseointegration. The implants should not be loaded prior to osseointegration.

Tissue Extension: The TE (Tissue Extension), also referred to as the abutment, is the intermediate connector between the implant and the restoration, it may extend above the tissue. In some instances, a TE extension is subgingival, to provide a more esthetic restoration.
