INNSYS POS SCALE INDICATOR OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS MODEL: WCKXXXP3 / WBKXXXP3 Congratulations for purchasing of the unique indigenous INNSYS electronic weighing scale, first of its kind price computing weighing scale with built in thermal printer designed and developed by Innovative Systems. Please read this manual thoroughly before use. In case you find any difficulty in understanding any function of this manual, please feel free to call your dealer or mail us at [email protected] Do’s and Don’t Do’s • • • • • • • • • Always empty the tray/platform before power on your scale. Do not wet or hot the surface of scale. Do not install the scale on or near the damp place. Do not place any hot item on the tray/platform of the scale. Use a clean damp cloth or mild non-abrasive cleaner to clean the scale. Do not use an abrasive cleaner because it may damage the finish. Do not overload the scale. You may permanently damage the load cell. Handle the scale with care. This is a precision instrument and should never be dropped or otherwise mishandled. Dropping or shocking the scale will damage the internal sensors and void your warranty. Do not leave anything on the scale when not in use. If the scale is excessively cold or hot, leave the scale off and allow it to acclimate to normal room temperature for at least 1 hour prior to use. Do not operate a cell phone or cordless phone within 10 feet of the scale. It may temporarily cause the scale to malfunction. Call an authorized service engineer to service or repair the machine. NORMAL WEIGHING 1. Empty the scale before turning the power. For accuracy and stability always warm up the scale for at least 30 seconds before weighing. 2. Place the item to be weighed on the center of the platform / pan and read the value on the display. 3. If you need to weigh loose items or anything in a container or tray, use the TARE function. Place the container on the platform and press ZERO (TARE) key. Ensure "0.00" on the display. The scale is then ready for you to place items onto the tray to be weighed. BATTERY CONDITION When scale is powered ON, it displays the Battery voltage or battery status in other terms. AUTO OFF FUNCTION The scale goes off automatically under 2 conditions:A. At POWER ON scale displays the battery status by displaying its voltage. When battery is about to discharge, the scale starts showing LO BAT approx. one hour before it goes fully discharged. When the battery discharges fully, the scale goes off automatically. B. If the scale is not in use for 3 minutes, it goes in standby mode. The scale goes automatically off if it remains unused for 15 minutes (programmable function). KEYBOARD DETAILS The scale has total 16 keys, details as below:1. Numerical 1 and PRINT key. 2. Numerical 2 and Item select key (rCode Key). 3. Numerical 3 and shift key if item is in pieces. 4. Numerical 4 and PRINT COPIES select key. 5. Numerical 5 and bill reset key. 6. Numerical 6 and Scroll UP key. 7. Numerical 7. 8. Numerical 8 and Discount Select key. 9. Numerical 9 and Scroll DOWN key. 10. LEFT SHIFT, weight display key and program mode key. 11. Numerical 0 and TARE key. 12. Decimal Point, RIGHT SHIFT and Memory key. 13. CANCEL key for current operation. 14. TOTAL Key in normal operation, DELETE key in programming mode. 15. Edit key in normal operation, Line Terminator key in programming mode. 16. ENTER key. DISPLAY DETAILS. The scale has 2 sets of double window displays each having 6 characters, one set for seller and another for buyer. Top window is assigned as window1 and Bottom window is assigned as window 2 in further discussion. The following information is displayed under different modes of operation:Mode of operation Weight only Weight & Amount Weight & Count Weight & Litre Litre & Amount Top Window Bottom Window Item Name and Weight Item Name and Weight Item Name and Weight Item Name and Weight Item Name and Litre Off Amount in Rupees Item Count in Pcs Quantity in Litre Amount in Rupees Memory Mapping of Scale We can store up to 50 items in the memory with their names and rates / unit count / SG depending upon mode of operation. USER COMMANDS Weighing only: a) After power on, wait until window1 displays 0.000. b) Press * button to jump in weighing mode only. c) Place the item on the pan. Top window displays the weight. Weighing, Computing and Printing: This feature works if scale is in weight & Amount mode. a) After power on, wait until window1 displays 0.000. b) Press key 2 on the keyboard. rCODE will be displayed in window 2. Type item code (01to 49) you wish to weigh and press ENTER. c) The pre stored item name will be automatically displayed in window1 for 1 second. Put the selected item on the pan and its weight and amount will be displayed on window 1 and Window 2 respectively. d) Press Enter to ADD and select other item code to be weighed. e) If the item is to be billed in pieces, select the Item code by pressing 2 and press key 3. Window 2 will display P00001. f) Press ENTER if 1 item is to be billed otherwise type no of pieces to be sold say 10 and press ENTER. g) Window 1 displays P00010. h) Again press ENTER to ADD the Item in the bill. i) Go on adding the items (max 25 for one bill) as you wish. Note: You can edit online the rate of any selected item. Select the item from the memory as explained above and press Rate key. Type new rate and press ENTER. The item now will be billed on new rate. Please note that this change is temporary and is valid for one time only. For a permanent change, go in program mode through password and feed new rates (See in Programming Section). Discount: After adding all items, press 8 to select the discount. Enter discount in % and press Enter. Bill Printing: Press TOTAL button to see the total payable bill amount and press 0 key to print the bill SETTINGS OF PRINT COPIES: Press key 4. Scale will show the no. of print copies. Press 4 again to change no. of copies. Bill No: We can check the bill no at any time by pressing key 5. COUNTING FUNCTION: NORMAL COUNTING: This feature works if scale is in weight & Count Mode. a) Press ZERO key to set the weight to 0.000. b) Place a counted quantity of items on the pan say (10pcs). Press RATE key. c) Curser blinks in window 2. Enter the quantity (10 in this case) and press ENTER to save. d) Window1 displays weight of the item and Window2 will display No. of pieces. e) Press ENTER to ADD. f) Go on counting and adding and finally take out the print by pressing TOTAL and ZERO. PRESTORED ITEM COUNTING: This feature works if scale is in weight & Count Mode. a) b) c) d) e) After power on, wait until window1 displays 0.000. Press key 2 on the keyboard. rCODE will be displayed in window 2. Type item code (01to 49) you wish to count and press ENTER. The item name will be automatically displayed in window1 for 1 second. Put the selected item on the pan and its weight and count will be displayed on window 1 and Window 2 respectively. f) Press Enter to ADD and select other item code to be counted. Press TOTAL button to see the total counted quantity and press 0 key to print. Note: You can edit online the count of any selected item from the item codes. Select the item from the memory as explained above and press Rate key. ENTER new count and press ENTER. The item now will be counted according to the new calibration. Please note that this change is temporary and is valid for this time only. For permanent change, go in program mode through password and set new unit counts (See in Programming Section). LITRE CONVERSION NORMAL CONVERSION: This feature works if scale is in weight & Litre mode. a) b) c) d) e) Press ZERO key to set the weight to 0.000. Place the item to be measured on the pan. Press RATE button. Curser blinks in window2. Enter the SG of the liquid and press ENTER. Window1 displays the weight of item and Window2 displays the quantity in Litre. Go on measuring and adding and finally take out the print by pressing TOTAL and ZERO key. CONVERSION OF PRESTORED ITEMS: This feature works if scale is in weight & Litre mode. a) b) c) d) After power on, wait until window1 displays 0.000. Press key 2 on the keyboard. rCODE will be displayed in window 2. Type item code (01to 49) you wish to measure in Litre and press ENTER. The item name will be automatically displayed in window1 for 1 second. Put the selected item on the pan and its weight and volume will be displayed on window 1 and Window 2 respectively. e) Press Enter to ADD and select other item code to be measured. Note: You can edit online the specific gravity of any selected item from the item codes. Select the item from the memory as explained above and press Rate key. Type new specific gravity and press ENTER. The item now will be measured according to the new SG. Please note that this change is temporary and is valid for one time only. For permanent change, go in program mode through password and set new unit counts (See in Programming Section). Press TOTAL button to see the total counted quantity and press 0 key to print. LITRE CONVERSION, COMPUTING AND PRINTING NORMAL BILLING: This feature works if scale is in Litre & Amount mode. Ask your dealer to program the specific gravity of the liquid to be sold. a) b) c) d) e) f) Press ZERO key to set the Litre to 0.000. Place the item to be measured on the pan. Press RATE button. Curser will blink in window2. Type the rate of the liquid and press ENTER. Window1 displays the quantity in Litre and Window2 will display the amount. Go on measuring and adding. Finally take out the print by pressing TOTAL and ZERO key. BILLING OF PRESTORED ITEMS: This feature works if scale is in Litre & Amount mode. Ask your dealer to program the specific gravity of the liquid to be sold. a) b) c) d) e) After power on, wait until window1 displays 0.000. Press key 2. rCODE will be displayed in window2. Type item code (01to 49) you wish to bill and press ENTER. The item name will be automatically displayed in window1 for 1 second. Put the selected item on the pan, its quantity in Litre and amount will be displayed on window 1 and Window 2 respectively. f) Press Enter to ADD and select other item code to be billed. g) Press * key at any time in between to see the weight of the item in window1. Press * again to go back in Litre mode. h) Press TOTAL button to see the total amount and press 0 key to print. Note: You can temporary edit online the rate of any selected item from the item codes. Select the item from the memory as explained above and press Rate key. Type new rate and press ENTER. The item now will be billed according to the new rate. CHECKER WEIGHING (OPTIONAL) This is an optional feature and is available only on demand. Checker weighing is used if we want to weigh any item in a particular weight range. For example, if any one wants to make packing of sugar between 1.000kg to 1.015kg, follow the steps as below: a) Program Min. Weight as 1.000kg and Max. Weight as 1.015 kg (Refer User Settings). b) Start weighing the sugar. Scale will remain silent if weight is below 1.000 kg. c) The Scale will generate beeps if weight is in between 1.000kg and 1.015 kg. d) The scale generates a long beep if weight exceeds 1.015kg. AUTO ADD MODE (OPTIONAL) This is an optional feature and is available only on demand. Follow the steps given below to use this feature:a) Place the weight on the pan. It will automatically add the weight on stability indicator. The scale will not add the next weight until the previous weight is removed from the pan and display shows 00.000. b) Place the second weight on the pan. It will automatically add the current weight in the first weighed quantity on stability indicator. c) Go on adding and finally press TOTAL key to see the total weight. d) Press ZERO to take out the print. LABEL PRINTING (OPTIONAL) This is an optional feature and is available only on demand. The scale can print label stickers if programmed for label printing. USER PROGRAMMING For programming mode, POWER OFF the scale first. By keeping the ENTER key pressed, POWER ON the scale. Scale shows CODE in window 2 of the display. Enter the 4 digit password axe (User password is 0000). Scale displays PROG. To quit from programming mode, power OFF and power ON the scale again without keeping ENTER key pressed. NOTE: Scale can not perform normal weighing and computing function in programming mode. TO STORE ITEMS (PLUs) IN MEMORY Weight & Amount mode: This programming is applicable if scale is in Weight & Amount mode. a) After password, press 2 on the keyboard. Display shows rCode00 in window 1 and curser will start blinking at first location. b) Type any value between 00to 49 and press ENTER. For example, type 01 to store the item at memory location 01, press ENTER. Curser jumps to window 1. c) Type the name of the item using the keyboard just like typing of an SMS on a mobile phone. For example to type SUGAR, press 7 four times to type S, press 8 two times to type U, press 4 single time to type G, press 2 single time to type A and 7 three times to type R. When SUGAR is displayed on the screen press ENTER to save. Window 2 shows r XXX.XX and Curser starts blinking. d) Type the rate (say 050.00) of the Item being stored and press ENTER. The above operation has stored the sugar in the memory at the rate of Rs.50.00/ kg. The item name can be up to 12 characters. Weight & Count mode: This programming is applicable if scale is in Weight & Count mode. a) After password, place the counted quantity of the item to be stored on the pan. Its weight will be displayed in the window 1. b) Press 2 on the keyboard. Display shows rCode00 in window 2 and curser will start blinking at first location. c) Type any value between 00to 49 and press ENTER. For example, type 01 to store the item at memory location 01, press ENTER. Curser jumps to window 1. d) Type the name of the item using the keyboard just like typing of an SMS on a mobile phone. Press ENTER to save. Window 2 shows c XXXXX and Curser starts blinking. e) Type No. of counts placed on the pan and press ENTER. The scale will automatically calculate the weight of one piece and will store the unit count. Weight & Litre mode: This programming is applicable if scale is in Weight & Litre mode. a) After password, place the measured quantity of the liquid item to be stored on the pan. Its weight will be displayed in the window 1. b) Press 2 on the keyboard. Display shows rCode00 in window 2 and curser will start blinking at first location. c) Type any value between 00to 49 and press ENTER. For example, type 01 to store the item at memory location 01, press ENTER. Curser jumps to window 1. d) Type the name of the item using the keyboard just like typing of an SMS on a mobile phone. Press ENTER to save. Window 2 shows L XX.XXX and Curser starts blinking. e) Type the quantity of item in Liters and press ENTER. The scale will automatically calculate specific gravity (SG) of the liquid and will store SG in the memory. Litre & Amount mode: This programming is applicable if scale is in Litre & Amount mode. Feature is suitable for single item dealer only like a bulk buyer or supplier of milk. Ask your dealer to program the SG of the product you want to buy /sell. a) After password, press 2 on the keyboard. Display shows rCode00 in window 2 and curser will start blinking at first location. Type any value between 00to 49 and press ENTER. For example, type 01 to store the item at memory location 01, press ENTER. Curser jumps to window 1. b) Type the name of the item using the keyboard just like typing of an SMS on a mobile phone. Press ENTER to save. Window 2 shows r XX.XXX and Curser starts blinking. c) Type the rate of the item and press ENTER. Follow the above procedure to add more items. ITEM (PLU) LIST PRINTING After password, press 1 on the keyboard. The scale will print Item list with Rates already entered by the user. This feature is available only if the Printer is enabled in factory settings. BILL RESET In programming mode, press 5. Bill nos. will start again from S.No.1. FOOTER SETTINGS This setting is meant for printing of any message on the bottom of the bill. This feature is optional and works only if enabled in factory settings. a) b) c) d) In programming mode, press *. Press DOWN key (↓). FTR ST (Footer Set) is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. FTR P0 (Footer Page 0) is displayed. Press ENTER. Curser shifts in window1. Type max. 12 characters. Use * key for left shift (←) of curser and # key for Right shift (→) of curser and TOTAL key to delete the character to correct any typing mistake. Press ENTER. FTR P0 is displayed again. e) Press ↑ key to select FTR P1. Repeat the steps and type the message max. up to FTR P9. f) At the end of message press RATE KEY TO END THE MESSAGE. Press ENTER to save the message. g) Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. HEADER SETTINGS This setting is meant for printing Shop name and address on bill. This feature is optional and works only if ENABLED in factory settings. a) b) c) d) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). HDR ST (HEADER SET) is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. HDR P0 is displayed. Press ENTER again. Curser shifts in window1. Type max. 12 characters. Use * key for left shift (←) of curser and # key for Right shift (→) of curser and TOTAL key to delete the character to correct any typing mistake. Press ENTER. HDR P0 is displayed again. e) Press ↑ key to select HDR P1. Repeat the steps and feed the message max. up to HDR P9. f) At the end of message press RATE KEY TO END THE MESSAGE. Press ENTER to save the message. g) Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. DATE SETTINGS a) b) c) d) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). DATE is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. Type date in DDMMYY format. Press ENTER TO save. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. TIME SETTINGS a) b) c) d) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). TIME is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. Type the time in HHMMSS format. Press ENTER TO save. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. SETTING OF PRINT FORMATS This setting is used to set the PRINT TYPE. There are three different types of print options in the scale and any one out of 3 can be selected. a) b) c) d) e) f) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). PRT TY is displayed in Bottom. Press ENTER. PRT 1 is displayed. Press ↑ key. PRT 2 is displayed. Press ↑ key again. PRT 3 is displayed. Go on pressing ↓or ↑ keys. Select any one and Press ENTER Key. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. CHECKER SETTINGS Checker settings are used if we want to weigh any item in a particular weight range. For example, if any one wants to make packing of sugar between 1.000kg to 1.015kg, this function will give beeps if the weight remains with in 1.000 kg and 1.015 kg. The scale will give a long beep if weight exceeds and will remain silent if weight is below 1.000 kg. Min. weight and Max. Weights are programmable functions of the scale. a) b) c) d) e) f) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). Ch MAX is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. Type the Maximum check weight. Press ENTER TO save. Press DOWN key (↓). Ch Min is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. Type the Minimum check weight. Press ENTER TO save. Press CANCEL to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. POWER SAVE MODE SETTINGS These settings help in saving the power, especially when the scale is used on battery most of the times. a) In programming mode press *. Press UP /DOWN keys and select POWER. Press ENTER. b) Press UP /DOWN keys and select any one of the following power modes:1. 2. 3. 4. PU OFF PU DIS PU SLP SL OFF If PU OFF function is selected, Scale will go OFF automatically if it is not in use for last 15 minutes. If PU DIS function is selected, power save mode is disabled. If PU SLP function is selected, Scale will go in standby mode if it is not in use for last 3 minutes. If SL OFF function is selected, Scale will go in standby mode after 3 minutes and then will go OFF automatically if it is not in use for last 15 minutes. c) Select any one of the above function and press ENTER to save. POWER MODE TIMINGS 1. SLEEP TIME: This setting decides the SLEEP TIME in seconds under idle condition of the scale. Default setting is 180 sec. These timings are applicable only if PU DIS power mode is not selected. a) In programming mode press *. Press UP /DOWN keys and select TM SLP. Press ENTER. b) Type any value in between 010 to 999 and press ENTER. c) 2. POWER OFF TIME: This setting decides the AUTO POWER OFF TIME in seconds under idle condition of the scale. Default setting is 900 sec. These timings are applicable only if PU DIS power mode is not selected. a) In programming mode press *. Press UP /DOWN keys and select TM OFF. Press ENTER. b) Feed any value in between 010 to 999 and press ENTER. DEALER PROGRAMMING To be performed by dealer or authorized service personnel. CALIBRATION Calibration can only be performed by opening the scale and after connecting the CALIBRATION jumper. a) Connect the programming jumper after opening the scale and put the scale ON. The scale will ask a secret password. Type the password and press ENTER. b) Ensure 00.000 on the scale (or press the ZERO key). c) Place the calibration weight and press * key. Press UP / DOWN button and select CAL. Press ENTER d) TYPE the value of calibration weight in window 2 and Press ENTER. e) Calibration is complete now. Remove the calibration jumper and screw up the machine. CALIBRATION RESET Calibration Reset is a part of CALIBRATION. Calibration reset is required if the authorized person has made any mistake during calibration. Calibration Reset can only be performed by opening the scale and after connecting the CALIBRATION jumper. a) Connect the programming jumper after opening the scale and put the scale ON. The scale will ask a secret password. Type the password and press ENTER. b) Press UP / DOWN button and select CALRST. Press ENTER. c) Press CANCEL button. d) Ensure 00.000 on the scale (or press the ZERO key). e) Place the calibration weight and press * key. f) Press UP / DOWN button and select CAL. g) REPEAT the Calibration steps to calibrate the scale again. PROGRAMMING OF OTHER FUNCTIONS For programming mode, POWER OFF the scale first. Keeping the button pressed, POWER ON the scale. Now the scale will show CODE in the first window of the display. Enter the 4 digit password xxxx. Scale displays PROG. To quit from programming mode, power OFF and power ON the scale again without keeping ENTER key pressed. BANNER SETTINGS This setting is meant for adding dealer name and contact no for service purpose so that customer can call him in case of any problem. This message will be displayed each time when scale is powered ON. a) b) c) d) e) f) g) h) i) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓). BAN ST (BANNER SET) is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. BAN P0 (Banner Page 0) is displayed. Press ENTER again. Curser shifts in window1. Type max. 12 characters. Use * key for left shift (←) of curser and # key for Right shift (→) of curser and TOTAL key to delete the character to correct any typing mistake. Press ENTER. BAN P0 is displayed again. Press ↑ key to select BAN P1. Repeat the steps up to BAN P9. Try to keep the message as small as possible preferably max. up to BAN P3. At the end of message press RATE KEY TO END THE MESSAGE. Press ENTER to save the message. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. ANTIVIBRATION FEATURE This feature should be ENABLED to weigh unstable weights. a) b) c) d) e) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓) AVIB F is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. AVF-d1 or AVF-En is displayed in window 2. Press ↓ key to toggle. Select the desired setting and Press ENTER. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. .Note: AVF-d1 means Anti vibration Feature Disable and AVF-En means Anti vibration Feature Enable. MODE SETTINGS The scale can be programmed in any one of the following modes: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Weight only Weight & Amount Weight & Count Weight & Litre Litre & Amount In programming mode, press * a) Go on pressing DOWN key (↓). b) WT Mod will appear in window2. Press ENTER. c) Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓) or UP key (↑) and select the desired mode. Press ENTER. d) Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. Note: Scale automatically erases the old item memory when mode is changed. WEIGHT TO VOLUME CONVERSION This Function appears only when LITRE- AMOUNT mode is selected. We need to feed the specific gravity of a liquid to convert its weight (kg) into volume (Litre). a) b) c) d) In programming mode, press *. Go on Pressing DOWN key (↓) LtrSEt is displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. Type the specific gravity (for milk SG is 1.028 to 1.037) and press ENTER. Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. BATTERY SETTINGS For long life, battery should not be discharged below its specified min. voltage. Scale goes off when battery reaches to the voltage programmed in BATOFF and starts indicating BATLOW when reaches to the voltage programmed in BATLOW. a) In programming mode, press *. Go on pressing DOWN key (↓). b) BATOFF will appear in window2. Press ENTER. c) TYPE the battery cut off voltage and Press ENTER d) Press DOWN key (↓). BATLOW will be displayed in window 2. Press ENTER. e) Type the low battery voltage (BATOFF + 0.5V approx.) and press ENTER. f) Press Cancel to quit from Menu or Press ↓ to continue programming. WARRANTY WHAT IS COVERED: All manufacturing defects or defects in materials or workmanship are covered under warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase. WHAT ISN’T COVERED: Any damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident (dropping or otherwise shocking the scale) normal wear & tear, or physical damage. Accessories, bowls, trays, finishes, clasps, hinges, feet, AC adaptors, and batteries are not covered by this warranty. Also any incidental or consequential damage or loss is not covered. There are no warranties of merchantability or of fitness expressed or implied, which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. In no event shall INNOVATIVE SYSTEMS be liable for damages in excess of the purchase price. To prevent possible loss, please send your scale via registered and insured service. You must pay the cost to return the scale to us or our Authorized Dealer. Abuse, misuse, mistreatment, Overload or if you drop the scale, VOIDS all warranties. We do our best to make all of our scales as durable as possible. However there is no way to fully prevent all damages due to shocking, dropping or overloading the scale.
