1 Inserting the Battery/SD Card Remove the battery cover and insert the battery. Ensure the battery contact points are lined up with the battery power contacts in the battery compartment. 1.2 SD Card Open the SD card compartment door to insert the SD card face up. Push the SD card into the camera until you hear a click. To remove the SD card, push the SD card into the camera to allow the spring mechanism to release the SD card from the camera. Warning: Date & Time is lost when the battery is drained. Playback Setting Date /Time LCD Monitor 2.1 Turn on the NightOwl by pressing the POWER button. 2.2 Press the MENU button on the LCD. 2.3 Scroll down to the Date/Time by pressing the DOWN button. 2.4 Press the ENTER button to go into the Date/Time menu. 2.5 Change the Month/Day/Year and Hour/ Date/AMPM by pressing pressing the UP or DOWN button. Press the ENTER button to confirm. 2.6 Exit the menu by press the MENU button. Settings The NightOwl is designed with flexible configurations to adapt to your application. Configuring the Camera System Press the MENU button. Use DOWN/UP button to scroll. Use ENTER button to confirm. The RECORDbutton is illuminated blue in a blinking pattern. The camera starts recording when it detects power via the car charger or when the camera is turned On manually. This is a plug and play feature. 4.2 To stop recording, unplug the car charger or press the RECORD button. Press the MODE button twice to enter into preview mode. Press the UP or DOWN and ENTER button to select the file to preview. PC With the power off, remove the SD card from the camera. Insert the card into your PC. Locate the file and playback the file using a video players such as Windows Media Player or VLC. HDMI (Cable Not Supplied) Connect the HDMI cable to the camera. Press the MODE button twice to enter into preview mode. Press the UP or DOWN and ENTER button to select the file to preview.
