INSTALL_SHEET_EJOURNAL_KEY_AND_GSITE_JOURNAL_KIT GSITE with Journal Printer Journal Printer (Not receipt printer) Journal Printer Cable from GSITE Short or long CAT5 To this adapter. The installer must provide a CAT5 cable of the appropriate length from the EJournal(TM) for Windows splitter to the adapters connecting the PC running EJournal(TM). Cable Instructions: 1. Power off the point of sale terminal and printer. 2. Disconnect the GSITE journal RJ45 cable from the adapter on the printer. 3. Connect the GSITE Journal RJ45 cable into one of the female sockets of the RJ45 splitter. (See at left.) 4. Using the short CAT5 cable provided in the kit, reconnect to the RJ45 adapter on the journal printer. 5. Using a CAT5 cable provide by the installer, connect from the RJ45 splitter into the RJ45 to DB9 GSITE adapter provide in the kit. 6. Connect the RJ45 to DB9 adapter to the NULL MODEM adapter 7. Attached the NULL MODEM adapter to the POS2DVR Adapter. 8. Attache the POS2DVR_RX adapter to the PC running EJournal(tm) 9. Apply power and test the Installation. 10. Set the EJournal(TM) COM port for 9600 7-E-1 (NOTE: may need to try other baud rates.) 11. Watch the PC EJournal(TM) window and make a sale or other transaction on the cash register to test the installation and observe the EJournal(TM) capture window. 12. IF no data into EJournal(TM), try other baud rates. Also try removing the NULL MODEM between the RJ45 Adapter . The NULL MODEM adapter may not be needed in some installations.
