Keep the receiver away from flower vases, tubs, sinks, etc., in order to avoid damaging the equipment. Do not expose the receiver un-der the sunlight. And keep it away from the heat source. Do not block ventilation holes of the Receiver so that air can circulate freely. When the abnormal phenomenon occur, you should cut off the power immediately. Do not touch the receiver during thunder, since that might create electric-shock hazards. Switch the receiver off whenever it remains out of service for an extended period. Be sure to turn the Receiver off and disconnect the AC power cord before cleaning the Receiver surface. If the surface is dirty, wipe clean with a cloth which has been dipped in a weak soap-andwater solution and wrung out thoroughly, and then wipe again with a dry cloth. Ed it Mo de : If you wan t to edit th ose pre progra mmed data such as Tra nspon der, Fre quenc y, Sy mbol Rate, Polari zation and 22 KHz, please press Edit mode key (Red col or key ) on the RC U. An d the n you can mo ve into tho se co lumns to c hange the val ue. 3) Posit ion : After selec ting a sate llite, ple ase se lect Position butto n and then keep pre ssing E or W k ey on the RCU until sel ected satelli te is lo cked. If the satellite is loc ked co rrectl y, the c olor o f signa l labe l bar wil l be ch anged to yel low. Notes: In " Search 1 SAT " and " Search TP" functio n,you can switch "FTA+ "for free to air and scramb c hannels model,"FTA"for f ree to air cha nnels model, " " for scramb channels model by RCU. The rece iver will au tomati cally s earch the cha nnel for TV and Radio and during this pro cedur e you can se e the alread y searched cha nnels in th e Sea rched List B ox on the screen. An d selec t SET PID command and press OK, the n set PID menu will be displa yed. E nter the corre ct valu e and select OK. 10) Sat n ame edit : If you want to change sat ellite n ame, select the sa tellite and p ress Sa t Name Edit key (Yellow color k ey) on the RCU to d isplay command box. Select Sat nam e ed it the n Ke ypad Dialog box will app ear. Using arrow key o n the RCU, you can edit t he sat ellite n ame. Channel Search-1)DiSEqC 1.2 12 USER INSTALL ATION Cha nnel Search-1)DiSEqC 1.2 11) Dele te TP : If you want t o dele te a tra nspon der, pl ease s elect the Tr anspo nder wh at you wan t to d elete and t hen p ress ME NU ke y on t he RC U to d isplay command box . The n sel ect De lete T P command and the confirm mes sage box wi ll be d isplaye d. 12) Re-S ync : W hen all loca tion o f searched sat ellites are s hifted by u nknow n rea son, you can r ealign all of them o nce if you a djust one satel lite loc ation. 13) Go to 0 fo r DiSE qC 1. 2 : Wh en yo u insta ll the motor of DiS EqC 1 .2 ant enna a t firs t, you can se lect th is func tion to move the ce nter o f ante nna to be 0 . 14) Search Option : T he receiver allows you to search chan nels w ith co nvenie nt op tions as below. -FTA Onl y -No t searched TP on ly -So rt by Scram ble If y ou se lect So rt by Scramble, th e rece iver sort the s cramb led ch annels automatica lly. If you s elect Not s earche d TP only, the rec eiver search chan nels in the T P whic h is not searc hed or new T P. But if your r eceive r is c onne cted to othe r rece iver th rough Loop Thro ugh su pport , you should chec k wh ich rec eiver is con nected direc tly to LNB. I n case if tha t othe r recei ver is directly con necte d to LN B, se lect OFF . Channel Search-2) Fixed System Se tting 14 USER INSTALL ATION System Setting 6) Screen Form at : If your T V sup ports 16:9 s c r e e n f o r ma t a n d se l e c t e d c h a n n el pro vides 16:9 fo rmat progra m, sel ect 16 :9 . 7) Video output : If your SCART supp orts RGB con trol, s elect R GB. Otherw ise s elect CV BS. 8) TV ty pe : S elect the ty pe ac cordin g to you r TV ty pe. 9) Display Inf o Bar : You can adjust the dis playin g time interv al of in fo bar from 2 sec to 1 2 sec . Defau lt valu e is 6 sec. 10) Start On Channe l : If y ou pre ss OK key, the n the chann el list is dis played . You can sel ect on e cha nnel o f the list, th e sele cted cha nnel starts when ever you tu rn on the rec eiver. 11) UHF S tandard : S elect UHF ty pe. 12) UHF Chann el : Se lect yo ur de sired U HF ch annel for sat ellite mode. No te : Th e rece iver fo r the c ountry, in wh ich it i s not used UHF, 11 ) and 12) op tion will be delete d. Parental Lock This func tion a llows y ou to lock th e cha nnel wit h your passw ord in orde r to pr event from acc essin g the chann el by your c hildre n or any other perso n. An d also you ca n pro tect yo ur ins talled data and information using Instal l Lock. Ho w to ch ange Password : 1) E nter t he cur rent pa sswo rd. 2) S elect ON of Paren tal Loc k. 3) E nter n ew pa sswor d. 4) C onfirm your new p asswo rd ent ering n ew pa sswor d agai n. System Setting P arenta l Lock 15 USER INSTALL ATION Parental Lock Ho w to us e Parent Loc k : 1) If you activa te parent loc k func tion, g o to the TV ch annel Manag er Pa ge. 2) Press Lock key (Blue c olor k ey) on the RCU. 3) S elect chann el the which you wa nt to Lock. 4) P ress OK the n symbo l is ma rked. Ho w to us e Inst all Loc k : 1) E nter t he cur rent pa sswo rd. 2) S elect ON of Install Lock. 3) E nter n ew pa sswor d. 4) C onfirm your new p asswo rd ent ering n ew pas sword again . 5) E xit this men u. 6) S elect any m enu an d pres s OK on the RCU. 7) T hen Enter P asswo rd Box will b e disp layed. 8) U nless enter correc t pass word, you ca n not run an y men u. No te : De fault p asswo rd is 0 000. Wa rning : Do n ot forg et you r pass word in orde r not to fail to opera te the receiv er. Factory Default If y ou wa nt to b ring the rec eiver b ack to the fac tory d efaul t condition, selec t Fac tory De fault a nd pre ss OK key. Then Wa rning messa ge will be dis played. To con firm s elect OK and press OK. Wa rning : Yo u will lose all of data and info rmati on whi ch was insta lled. Parental Lock Factory D efault 16 GENERAL VIEWING VIEWING FUNCTION GENERAL Select Channel If y ou wa nt to s elect c hanne l, use CH ke y on the front panel or PR +, PR- key o n the RCU or num eric k ey on the RCU to sele ct a cha nnel and p ress OK ke y on the RCU. In additio n to th e abo ve nor mal fu nction , the rec eiver provid e more con venient cha nnel cha nge fu nction . Wh ile wa tching , pres s OK key on the RCU. Then cha nnel list wi ll be d isplay ed on the right side of th e scre en. If press EXIT key, the chann el list will be disap peare d. To select a chan nel, g o up a nd dow n of th is cha nnel li st and place cursor on a d esired cha nnel. Then, press OK ke y to wa tch th e sele cted ch annel. If y ou pre ss key on the RCU, chann el list will mo re upg rade d own p age by page . Pause the frame Pre ss PAUSE k ey on the RCU to paus e the screen . To b ring it back to the norma l mo de, press PAUSE k ey once aga in. Previous channel recall Pre ss ←P R key on the RCU to mov e the previo us cha nnel which y ou wa tched before . TV & Radio mode Wh ile vie wing T V cha nnel, press TV/RA DIO key on th e RCU to move ra dio mode. P ress this key o nce a gain, it will b ring y ou bac k to the TV mode. Sele ct Channel Pause the fram e Previous chann el recal l TV & Radio mode 17 GENERAL VIEWING VIEWING FUNCTION GENERAL Cha nnel Information Every time you chan ge ch annel s, you will rec eive progr am i n fo rma tion f or a few sec ond. Wh ile wa tching chan nel, y ou ca n see the c u r r e n t c h a n n e l i n f o r m a t i o n a n y t i me , pre ssing INFO k ey on the RCU. No te : Ch annel inform ation will be displa ying for 6 se conds and disapp eared . You can adj ust the disp lay time inte rval fr om 2 t o 12 sec onds. Volu me & Audio Control 1) Volum e Con trol To increa se or d ecrea se vol ume, u se on the RCU or VOL key on the fro nt pan el. No te : T he receiver has 1 8 volu me le vels and this sh all be cont rolled from the adj usted volume level of yo ur TV. 2) M ute To mute the so und, p ress button on the RCU. To bring b ack th e norm al sou nd, p ress this key o nce ag ain. 3) A udio Control L Pre ss the R key repeate dly to selec t one of thre e poss ible A udio s etting s (Lef t, Rig ht and Stere o) . This is dep en-de nt on the tra nsmiss ion of audio signa l which supports Multi-lan guage . Favorite Lis t 19 CHANNEL MANAGER The receive r prov ides m ost po werful channel ma naging funct ion in the wo rld and this funct ion allows y ou to have a more inte restin g and usefu l ope ration as we ll as watch ing ch annel s simp ly. This Loc k com mand allow you t o lock the cha nnel. First s elect the ch annel, which you wa nt to l ock, a nd pr ess O K key and then wil l be marked at rear o f you r sele cted cha nnel n ame. Main cable is not connected. Check that the main cable is plugged into the power socket. No sound or picture, but the front panel shows red light. The receiver is in standby mode. Press the standby button. The satellite dish is not pointing at the satellite. Adjust the dish. Check the signal level in the Antenna Setup menu. No signal or weak signal. Check the cable connections, LNB and other equipment connected between the LNB and the receiver, or adjust the dish. The satellite dish is not pointing at the s atellite. Adjust the dish. Signal is too strong. Connect a signal attenuator to the LNB input. Satellite dish is too small. Change to a larger dish. LNB noise factor too high. Change to an LNB with lower noise factor. The LNB is faulty. Change the LNB. The picture is not showed on the screen, when switching on. The system is connected by RF leads. Check the UHF channel fixed in your system and tune the UHF channel properl y. There is interference on your digital satellite channels, an existing terrestrial channel or video signal. The system is connected by RF leads and the output channel of the receiver interferes with an existing terrestrial channels or Video signal. Change the receiver output channel to a more suitable channel, or connect the system by SCART leads. Batt ery exhausted. Change the batteries. RCU is incorrectly aimed.
