INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CADET® BIDET Models: 5023.100 (3 Hole) 5023.111 (Single Hole) Thank you for selecting American Standard – the benchmark of fine quality for over 100 years. To ensure this product is installed properly, please read these instructions carefully before you begin. (Certain installations may require professional help.) Also be sure your installation conforms to local codes. ! CAUTION: PRODUCT IS FRAGILE. TWO PEOPLE ARE RECOMMENDED FOR HANDLING TO AVOID BREAKAGE AND POSSIBLE INJURY! NOTE: Pictures may not exactly define contour of china and components. NOTE: For proper operation these products require a minimum of 30 psi line pressure. RECOMMENDED TOOLS AND MATERIALS Regular Screwdriver Flexible Supply Tube Adjustable Wrench Closet Bolts 1 ROUGHING-IN If a side by side toilet and bidet installation is desired, a comfortable separation of 24" (610mm) is required between the units. Tape Measure Carpenters Level Sealant The bidet is not furnished with a trap. Provisions must be made for the installation of a trap in the floor. Water supplies must be a minimum of 6" (152mm) to the left and right of bidet center line. Be sure to slip chrome trim plate on piping before attaching supply stop valves. CADET BIDET Model 5023.100 ® C/L HOT & COLD SUPPLY INLETS 159mm (6-1/4") C/L OF SPRAY 102mm (4") 2 Carefully set the bidet, making sure that the drain tube is inserted into the waste pipe. This connection should be sealed either by compression or sweat connection after the bidet has been centered and is level. 3 Place wood screws through plastic snap-on bases then through screw holes at base of bidet. Alternately tighten 1/2 turn with screwdriver. When bidet does not rock it is tight. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN wood screws as you might crack the foot of the bidet. Snap on bolt caps. 4 Connect hot/cold supplies to hot/cold valve bodies on the bidet. Turn on the bidet. Turn on water and check for leaks.
