1. Introduction Watch·It AnyWhere re-broadcasts video from a video source, such as a set–top box or DVD, to the other TVs in the home. The re-broadcasted signal appears on channel 125. Watch·It AnyWhere requires only a single cable service entry to the source to be re-broadcast. 2. Description Watch·It AnyWhere comes as a complete application kit. The kit includes a Cable-Entry Signal Director, a Video Distribution Module with its power supply, an audio/video cable and two RF Coax cables. The Cable-Entry Signal Director is located at the service entry point, where the cable service enters the home. The CESD connects the incoming service, to the location with the Video Distribution Module, and to the rest of the TVs in the home. It conditions the incoming service and also redirects the signal from the Video Distribution Module back to the other TVs in the home. The Video Distribution Module takes composite video signals from the video source and modulates the signal onto channel 125. The modulated signal is then sent back down the cable for distribution to the other TVs in the home. The Video Distribution Module also passes the composite video signal through to a VCR or Video Monitor, eliminating the need for “Y” cables, or additional splitter/couplers. The Video Distribution Module is the only powered product in the system and is powered by the included 12 VDC power supply. 3. Installation The Watch·It AnyWhere system uses the existing coaxial cable wiring in your home to automatically deliver a signal on Channel 125 to every TV set in your home. The simple two-step connect process is detailed below.

Optionally the audio/video output from the video source may be fed to a VCR or TV/Monitor using the Audio and Video Out ports. This requires a second Audio Video Cable, not included in the kit. NOTE: The video source can be a DVD player, Cable Television Digital Set-Top Box, Home Theater, Satellite Digital Set-Top Box, VCR, Camera, or any standard video/audio signal generator.

STEP 2: Install Cable-Entry Signal Director Install the Cable-Entry Signal Director where the Cable TV cable enters the home. Connect the Cable TV service cable coming in to the home to the “Cable TV In” port of the Cable-Entry Signal Director. Connect the cable running to the Video Distribution Module to the “To Video Dist Module” port of the Cable-Entry Signal Director. NOTE: This must be a direct cable with no splitters on the leg. Connect the other output of the Cable-Entry Signal Director to the remaining home wiring.

4. Troubleshooting Guide How do I find the cable connected to the video distribution module? To determine which cable is connected to the TV set where the Video Distribution Module is located take the following simple steps: 1) Turn on the TV set at the Video Distribution Module location, and make sure that it is connected to the cable. That is, make sure that you can receive cable TV programs. 2) Locate the place where the cable company connects your home to their service. The box where this occurs is the demarcation point between their system and your home. 3) Go to the first cable TV splitter in your home after the ‘demarcation point’. 4) Now, disconnect one side of the splitter, and see if that disconnects your TV signal on the TV set at the Video Distribution Module. 5) If the TV signal disappears, then that cable is the one connected to the Video Distribution Module. NOTE: There can be no other cable TV splitters in the cable between the Video Distribution Module and the cable-entry signal director: Is Watch·It AnyWhere compatible with my Cable TV Service? The Watch·It Anywhere Broadcast System Operates on the frequencies between 792 and 804 MHz. In most places in the United States and Canada your local cable TV system does not carry signals above 780 MHz. For these systems, the Watch·It Anywhere is completely compatible with your Cable TV Services. However, there are some Cable Systems that carry signals on the same channel (Ch. 125) that is used by the Watch·It Anywhere kit. In these systems, the Watch·It Anywhere may interfere with your Cable TV Service. This interference will take the form of removing several channels (CH. 123-127) from the package of services delivered to your home. Ask your local cable TV service if they are carrying signals above the frequency of 780 MHz. What if my TV has a ‘SNOWY” picture on channel 125? In most cases, you should have a crystal clear television picture on channel 125. However, if there is a splitter in the cable line between the Video Distribution Module and the Cable Entry Signal Director, then the television set fed from that splitter may have poor picture quality, most likely having a ‘snowy’ picture and ‘noisy’ sound. What if I have a Cable Modem in my Home? The Cable Entry Signal Director is designed not to interfere with cable modems. However, the cable company usually prefers that the cable modem line be a direct connection from the first splitter in the home. Therefore, we

recommend that the cable modem be connected as follows: A Splitter is the first device installed at the Cable Entry Point. One leg goes to the TV wiring. The other leg is connected directly to the cable modem. In this case, we install the Cable Entry Signal Director on the leg feeding the existing cable wiring. One leg of the Cable Entry Signal Director is connected to the existing cable connected to the Video Distribution Module. The other leg is connected to the line feeding the rest of the existing cable wiring. 5.
