Introduction Many thanks for purchasing this Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. We hope that you get many years of enjoyment from this product. Before using, please read this Instruction Manual carefully. Always keep this Instruction Manual in a safe place, so you can refer to it whenever necessary in the future. If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using the Shiatsu Massage. The Shiatsu Massage Chair’s max body weight is 120kg.

Before using the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair for the first time, please check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate corresponds with that of the local supply before connecting the appliance to the power supply. The Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair is intended for indoor, domestic use only. It should not be used outdoors or for commercial applications. This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. All repairs should only be carried out by a qualified person. Improper repairs may place the user at risk of harm, and will invalidate any guarantee. Do not operate this appliance if the power cable has been in contact with water, or if the power cable or plug is damaged. If the power cable or plug is damaged, please contact a qualified person to carry out repairs. Do not operate this appliance after a malfunction, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. Never touch the power cable or plug with wet hands. Always keep the cable away from any heated surface. Do not carry or pull your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair by the power cable. Always keep your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair dry and never use when wet. If your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair falls into water do not touch it until the power cable has been unplugged from the electricity supply. To avoid electrocution this appliance should not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquid should be placed on top of it. The Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair should never be left unattended when plugged in. The Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair can only be used by children aged less than eightyears and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be undertaken by children less than eight-years of age and must be supervised. Do not drop, or insert any object into any opening in the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. Do not operate the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair where aerosol sprays are being used, or where oxygen is being administered. Only use attachments supplied with your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. Extensive use can lead to overheating and shorten the life of your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. To disconnect the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair, turn all controls to the ‘OFF’ position and remove the plug from the power supply. Always unplug your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair from the electricity supply immediately after use and before cleaning or attaching, or removing any parts. If the appliance starts to overheat, switch off and allow it to cool before using again. To prevent a power surge, please always wait 30 seconds after turning off the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair before turning the power back on. Only use the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair for its intended use (as described in this manual).

Important Please read the following health and safety warnings carefully before using your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair:
Do not use if you have sensitive skin or poor blood circulation. Never use directly on swollen or inflamed areas of your body. Do not stand on the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. Do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time as longer periods can over-stimulate muscles and lead to potential nerve irritation. Do not use as a substitute for seeking medical attention. Children and people with disabilities should be closely supervised when using the Shiatsu Massage Chair. Do not use whilst sleeping, or fall asleep whilst using the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. Do not allow infants, invalids, sleeping or unconscious individuals to use the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. Do not use the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair before bed as the massage can have a stimulating effect and may delay sleep. Never use if you suffer from any physical condition that would limit your capacity to switch off the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair, or if you have any sensory deficiencies in your lower body. Always ensure the voltage supplied corresponds to that shown on the your Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair. If you suffer from any abnormal and/or serious pains when using the Neostar® Shiatsu Massage Chair, switch off the massage function and consult your doctor.
Please Note Always check the seat supports and ensure all screws are securely in place before each use. Do not rotate your Shiatsu Massage Chair when the power cable is plugged in as this can snap the cable.
Your Shiatsu Massage Chair will automatically shut off after 15 minutes of massage programme. Please leave the chair to cool completely before reusing.

Assembly Instructions Please ensure that you have received all the parts and that no parts are missing or have been damaged during shipment. If in doubt, do not use the Shiatsu Massage Chair and contact the service department immediately. Components:

Step 1 Insert the wheels into the end of the five-armed stand.

Step 2 Place the damper cup into the gas spring, then place the gas spring into the central hole in the stand.
Step 3 Fix the adjustable seat-plate to the underneath of the seat cushion using 4x M6x20mm screws and tighten securely.
Step 4 Attach the seat cushion to the assembled five-armed stand. Ensure the gas spring is aligned with the opening on the base of the adjustable seat.
Step 5 Attach the left and right armrests to the seat cushion (see illustration) and secure with 4x M8x30mm screws and tighten securely. Place 4x caps over each of the screw heads.

Step 6 Attach the backrest cushion to the seat cushion using 2x M8x30mm screws (see illustration). Do NOT tighten screws at this point.
Step 7 Raise the backrest to an upright position and secure to the armrests using 2x M8x30mm screws. Now tighten all 4x screws and cover the screw heads with 4x caps. Place the headrest onto the backrest and secure with the zip and Velcro.
Please Note: The massage mechanism is pre-installed inside the backrest. Before using, unzip the backrest and, using the Allen Key, tighten the 4x screws on the frame as these may have become loose during transportation. Keep the Allen Key in a safe place in case a new massage mechanism is required at a later date. Step 8 Join two grey connectors on the back bottom. These supply the power to the multi-function massage mechanism.

Step 9 Insert the massage controller into the jack on the base of the chair. Both these connectors are marked ‘Allow’ to help you with alignment.
Step 10 Attach the Power Adaptor to the black DC cable, located at the rear base of the chair (see illustration) and tighten securely. This supplies the power to the multi-function massage mechanism. Attach the two-pronged connector to the black DC connector located at the rear of the chair’s base.
Plug the end into the 100-240V power outlet.
Instructions for Use The Shiatsu Massage Chair includes an AC wall adaptor for home or office use. To supply power to the multi-function massage mechanism, insert the AC adaptor cord into the DC jack (located on the back of the chair). Do not use any other adaptor with the Shiatsu Massage Chair as this may cause serious damage. The Shiatsu Massage Chair offers ergonomic seating comfort. Setting up the chair’s adjustable components to fit your body correctly will give you the most beneficial effect.
Adjusting the height of the seat The seat height is correct when your forearms are resting comfortably on your workstation or the surface of your desk (approx. at a right angle to your upper arms).

Adjusting the height of the seat To raise the seat pull the height setting lever ‘A’ upwards when you are NOT seated in the Shiatsu Massage Chair. To lower the seat height, pull the height setting lever ‘A’ upwards when you ARE seated in the Shiatsu Massage Chair.
Adjusting the angle of the seat To adjust the incline of the seat, push the seat leaver ‘B’ forward whilst you are seated in the Shiatsu Massage Chair. By shifting your body weight, the seat moves forwards or backwards. In this way you can change the seat angle to suit your personal requirements. Once the desired angle is reached, simply return the lever ‘B’ to its original position. Adjusting the seat to suit your weight Adjust the Shiatsu Massage Chair’s rocking function according to your weight. Turning the weight adjustment ‘C’ clockwise loosens the chair’s rocking mechanism, which is ideal for lighter users. Turning the weight adjustment ‘C’ anti-clockwise tightens the chair’s rocking mechanism, which is ideal for heavier users. Please note: The Shiatsu Massage Chair’s max body weight is 120kg.
Power Button To turn on the massage function, first press the POWER button on the hand control. The LED indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection. To turn off the massage function, simply press the button again. The LED indicator will blink while the kneading massage mechanism returns to the lowest point and it will then automatically switch off. Please note: The moving, kneading massage mechanism always ‘parks’ or finishes in its lowest position. It will remain in this position after the power has been turned off. If the electrical supply is interrupted, when the power is restored the mechanism will automatically ‘park’ or move to it’s lowest position.

Controller Operation 1. Power Button To operate massage, press the ON/OFF button. The LED Indicator light will illuminate to confirm your selection. To turn the massage function OFF, simply press the ON/OFF button again. The LED indicator blinks while the massage mechanism returns to its lowest point and will then turn OFF. 2. Demo Press the Demo button to cycle through each massage function. Once complete, the unit will automatically turn OFF. The LED lights will blink to indicate targeted functions.
3. Seat Massage Strength Press the Seat button to choose the intensity of your massage. The unit gives you 3x options of massage strength: L (low) M (medium) H (high). The LED indicator corresponds to your selection. To change the strength of your massage, simply press the button again. 4. Heat For soothing heat with massage simply press the HEAT button and the corresponding red LED indicator will illuminate. To de-select, simply press the button again and the corresponding LED light will switch off. Please note, for your safety, heat cannot be turned on when massage is NOT selected.
5. Massage Zone Button Zone buttons cause the moving massage mechanism to target specific areas of your back. Full Back – the moving massage mechanism travels all the way up and down your back Upper back – the moving mechanism focuses on your mid to upper back Lower back – the moving mechanism focuses on your mid to lower back. To select a massage area, simply press the button and the corresponding LED indicator will illuminate. To deselect, simply press the button again and the corresponding LED indicator will switch OFF. Please note: The Shiatsu Massage Chair will automatically shut off after 15 minutes of massage for your personal safety.

Maintenance Malfunction and repair Should your unit fail to react after being turned ON/OFF after you have selected a massage function, please check your power connection and ensure all cables are properly connected. Unplug the unit, wait for a few seconds and reconnect the unit to the mains electricity supply. Push the POWER button and select a massage function. If the chair does not respond, contact a service provider.
Cleaning Always unplug your Shiatsu Massage Chair and allow it to cool before cleaning. Use a soft, slightly damp sponge or cloth to wipe clean. Never allow water, or any other liquid to come into contact with your Shiatsu Massage Chair. Never immerse in any liquid to clean Never use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass/furniture polish or paint thinner to clean Always wait until the unit is completely dry before using Always check that the cable is not tangled or twisted before use Never attempt to repair the massage cushion yourself. It contains non-user serviceable parts.
