This Outdoor Dusk-dawn Digital Timer switch on the connected appliances according to the preset lux level to prevent burglary during your absence, e.g. using in lamps. It is ideal for home security. You can preset the dusk-dawn program’s duration. Appliances remains off if it is not within the duration to avoid false triggering due to the environmental light changes, eg. car lighting, spotlight, ettc Large LCD display for easy reading. Two LED lights turn on when the program is on. B. Overview 1. Detects lux level Shows time and program setting (See Fig. 2 for details). Press once to activate dusk-dawn program, is shown on the LCD. Press and hold for 3 seconds to set lux level and dusk-dawn period Press and hold 3 for seconds to set hour / minute. When setting program, press once to return to real time display. Real Setting Time 1. Press and hold button until the the hour display flashes. 2. Turn the dial plate clockwise to increase the hour and anti-clockwise to reduce. Press “SET” button until flashes for adjusting lux level and is displayed for setting the dusk-dawn programs’ starting time. 2. Turn the dial plate clockwise to increase the lux level, the appliances is turned on at an earlier time. Turn the dial plate anti-clockwise to reduce the lux level, appliances is turned on in greater darkness. 3. Press “SET” button to confirm. Hour display flashes. 4. Turn the dial plate clockwise to increase the hour and anti-clockwise to reduce. Press “SET” button to confirm. Minute display flashes 5. Turn the dial plate clockwise to increase the minute and anti-clockwise to reduce. Press “SET” button to confirm. is displayed for setting the time to end the dusk-dawn program. Press “SET” button to confirm. is displayed again, you can change the preset duration by repeating procedures 1 to 7 Note: a. Example of setting dusk-dawn program’s activating period : - dusk-dawn program to be started at 16:00 and ended at 23:00 - only within the above setting period will the timer turns on the appliances according to the preset lux level, once turns on, appliances will only turn off at 23:00 - from 23:00 to 16:00, the appliances remains off disregards the changes of the environmental light to avoid false triggering and for energy saving b. After program setting, press button to return to “CLOCK” display at once or it will return automatically after 30 seconds without pressing any other buttons. “PROGRAM” then changes to “CLOCK” display. E. Override/Resume Preset Programs 1. Connect your appliances to the timer, then plug in the timer to the AC socket. Switch on your appliances. Appliances will function according to your preset programs unless manual override or R button is pressed. G. Safety Precautions 1. To ensure the photo sensor function properly, the connected socket to be positioned in direct daylight and not to be covered by curtain. 2. This timer should not be exposed in street light, or the sensor cannot differentiate day and night phase. 3. This timer is for OUTDOOR use. 4. The voltage of the appliances must not exceed that in the below Specifications. 5. If there is no display in the LCD, connects the timer to the AC socket for 2 hours to recharge the integrated backup battery. 6. The timer is supplied with a 1.5V rechargeable battery. When fully charged, it can support the LCD display for 180days. H.
