Engine Oil The trimmer is shipped WITHOUT OIL in the engine. Place the trimmer on a level surface, and then remove the oil filler cap/dipstick. SETTING UP YOUR NEW TRIMMER/BRUSHCUTTER A bottle of oil is included in the box with your trimmer. Add the entire contents of the oil bottle into the oil filler opening. Honda HHT25S/HHT35S Serial Number: HAFA/HAGA-1000001 ~ Forward All Honda engines are OIL FILLER run at the factory prior to CAP/DIPSTICK packaging. Most of the OIL FILLER OPENING oil is removed prior to shipment; however, some oil remains in the engine. The amount of oil left in the engine varies. Before Using Your Trimmer/Brushcutter Before using the trimmer, all trimmer operators must read the following chapters and sections of the Owner’s Manual: • TRIMMER SAFETY • BEFORE OPERATION If not using the supplied oil, add enough recommended SAE 10W-30 API service category SJ or later oil to bring the oil level to the bottom edge of the oil filler hole. • OPERATION Do not overfill the engine with oil, as the oil tank capacity is small. • MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE Screw in the oil filler cap/dipstick securely. UNPACKING Fuel Carefully remove the trimmer and loose parts from the carton and compare the loose parts with the inventory list. This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher. LOOSE PARTS We recommend refueling after each use to minimize the air present in the fuel tank. • CONTROLS & EQUIPMENT Check all loose parts against the following list. Contact your authorized Honda servicing dealer if any of the loose parts shown are not included with your trimmer. Ref. No Description 1 2 3 4 Qty.
