(If you are using the audio tapes) Move the boxes of tapes from the bottom of the cart and from inside the closet to one of the long tables. Open them up (leaving them in alphabetical order). Put out the box of dance names. Move the dance name display rack from the inside of the closet door onto the table or wherever the teachers want it. Put out the first dozen or so dances on the evening’s program. Get the mike stand out of the closet, put the mike in it and plug in the mike. Hang the bulletin boards on the wall, using the metal rods. Set out the sign-in book, cash box and bulletins (and whatever else you want to put out) on the table by the entry door to the room. Open to a new page and fill in the headings. Roll the coat rack out of the big closet and place it over near the kitchen door. As needed: Bring out the boxes of belts, handkerchiefs, and tambourines. Turn off the music decks: Digital Deck: Press and HOLD the round power switch on the digital deck until the “Shutting Down” message appears. Tape Deck and CD Deck: Press the Power button on the deck. When you put away the dance name cards, be sure to insert them in the box in color-coded categories based on type of dance, within each letter of the alphabet. The code is explained on the inside of the box. Doing this makes it MUCH easier to find them. It’s not necessary to have the dances in perfect alphabetical order so long as they’re under the right letter. When you put the audiotapes away, they should be placed in perfect alphabetical order. There are two alphabetical orderings. The first one is of dances in the current repertoire. The second one is of dropped dances, marked with a little piece of red or orange tape. Please don't mix them up! Put everything back exactly where you found it in the closets. Remember that everything else must go back into the small closet BEFORE the cart is rolled in. Don’t forget to turn off the power switch and the light switch in the closet before you lock it.
