Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth® using the pairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. (All examples shown are using the Comand system) For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Motorola V325i) with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. Step 1 (to be performed on your Motorola V325i) From the main screen of your mobile phone, 1. Select menu. 2. Scroll to "Settings & Tools." 3. Select "Bluetooth®." 4. Select "Setup" and if power is off change to on. 5. Select "Back" to go back to the previous menu "Bluetooth® Link." 6. Select "Find Me." Please note that your mobile phone will only be visible for a limited amount of time (approximately 3 minutes). During this time the pairing process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 2 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select phone. Step 3 Select the "Phone" application located in the lower left corner. Seite 1 von 4 Step 4 Select the "Phone List" application. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list. Seite 2 von 4 Step 8 To connect your mobile phone to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system enter a unique 1 to 16 digit passcode (password) using the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. To guarantee a successful Bluetooth® connection it is recommended that at least a 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. To complete the connection process follow the steps below and enter the passcode (password) previously entered in step 9 on the keypad of your mobile phone. Step 9 (to be performed on your Motorola V325i) 1. "Bond With / MB Bluetooth®?" will be shown on your mobile phone. 2. Select "Yes." 3. "Enter Bluetooth® PIN:" will be shown. 4. Please enter your passkey (password). This passkey must be identical to the passkey you entered in the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. 5. "Verifying PIN…/ Please Wait" will be shown. 6. "Completed / PIN Verified & Saved" will be shown. 7. "Connected: MB Bluetooth®" will be shown. Seite 3 von 4 Step 10 If the authorization was successful a PopUp appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed in the lower left corner above the “Phone” icon.
