Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth® using the pairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. (All examples shown are using the COMAND system) For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be successful, Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone. Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone. Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone LG Rumor Reflex with the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®. Step 1 To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system press the “TEL” key on the radio or select the "Phone" application. Step 2 Select the application "Connect Dev." located in the lower left corner. Step 3 Select the "Connect via Phone" application. Page 1 of 3 Step 4 The display of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system will show "Ready for Bluetooth connection." Now the system is ready for a new Bluetooth connection. Step 5 (to be performed on your LG Rumor Reflex) 1. Select “Menu” 2. Select “Settings & Tools” 3. Select “Bluetooth Menu” 4. Select “Add New Device” 5. Select “Ok” 6. Select “MB Bluetooth” Step 6 Confirm the authorization of the LG Rumor Reflex by selecting "Yes". The name of your mobile phone will be displayed where "My Phone" is shown. Step 7 The pairing process will generate a 6-digit passcode and display it on the screen. Verify that the same 6 digits are shown on the display of your mobile. Step 8 (to be performed on your LG Rumor Reflex) Page 2 of 3 Select "Yes" if the on the phone matches the passcode on the car's screen Step 9 After the passcode is verified on both the mobile and the COMAND, the phone will begin to be authorized. Step 10 (to be performed on your LG Rumor Reflex) If there are any additional menus on your LG Rumor Reflex select "Connect" to finish authorization process. Step 11 If the authorization was successful a pop-up appears on your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system. Step 12 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system, the name of your mobile phone (example "My Phone") will be displayed in the lower left corner above the “Connect Dev.” icon.
