Those demands and the lack of suitable production equipment make a production studio a vast variety of faders, knobs, PCs, monitors, mice and keyboards - all of them located on a central production desk which is certainly not an ergonomic way to control highly sophisticated technology. These enhanced business models change the requirements of all involved in the content production processes including producers, talents and assistants. To comply with these needs, producers and talents of state-of-the-art radio stations have to control all kinds of production and communication tools exceeding “audioonly” operations by far. Demand for new solutions Being aware of the operational restrictions coming from non-ergonomic working environments of today, Klotz Digonomics has taken a completely new approach to accommodate radio production consoles to this new era. Integra consoles include audio processing, visual content control, internet communication and remote control of all kind of 3rd party equipment in one single control surface. Integra consoles come with a high-resolution ultrawide format touchscreen monitor, which makes the audio console a perfect remote control for all kinds of studio equipment such as play-out systems and telephone hybrids. Integra consoles with their augmented control functions make life of operators extremely comfortable keeping their focus on radio production rather than on radio technology. Integra – the perfect console for stand-alone and networked radio centers The Integra console is a powerful tool controlling audio in a stand-alone radio studio as well as in networked radio facilities. The integrated powerful PC runs WindowsOS© and can be connected to any Ethernet LAN. Audio over IP, high speed fiber optic interfaces and all important audio formats as well as high-quality microphone pre-amplifiers in combination with best possible EQ, dynamics and other digital signal processing features make the Integra console the perfect audio production console for 24/7 operation. Integra consoles can also be used as an interface to communicate directly with listeners and to control program associated data, pictures and video giving augmented control to operators and talents. Audio over IP, fiber optic transmission and all common audio interfaces Integra consoles equipped with audio over IP and standard Ethernet protocol interfaces can seamlessly be integrated in both the audio network and the local control network. As the Integra consoles come with a highly comfortable configuration tool, integration of the consoles in audio networks or in standard local area networks is done without time-consuming IP address configuration or other complicate setup procedures. Perfect ergonomics and superb audio processing The Integra augmented control console uses traditional faders, knobs and push buttons for audio control giving full tactile feedback to the operators. Audio control surface available from 4 to 32 faders Integra consoles are fully modular so that any console layout required can be created. The smallest possible Integra console consists of a three module main console frame (MCF) and a display unit. Integra consoles with 8 faders 3 The MCF hosts the monitor module and one or two fader modules. Further two or three module extension frames equipped with additional fader modules can be added. The console frames can be mounted either inline or can be installed in split mode with an optionally available split kit. The maximum size of a Integra console has 32 faders and a monitor section. Integra ultra-wide monitor with 12 faders A Integra console in its minimum layout comes with 8 faders and a monitor control module. The high resolution TFT screen with touch sensor is part of the base unit and controls consoles from 8 to 32 faders. The TFT screen shows all audio functions of the console such as EQ, dynamics, gain and audio level. The same monitor is used to display available sources and outputs and gives direct access to the main control room and its audio interfaces. Fully assignable fader channels Any fader channel of Integra augmented consoles can be configured to control any audio source, bus and audio output located either on a local input and output frame or within the entire audio network. Presets of the console layout as well as monitor and telephone settings can easily be configured and stored by the qualified operator. 3 module wide extension frame User-friendly configuration, total system overview and control of 3rd party software High resolution ultra-wide touch-screen monitor for control center software Integra console with augmented control runs third party application software The integrated ultra-wide touchscreen monitor (resolution 1,630 x 342) makes external controls for audio settings redundant as all settings can now be carried out via the internal touchscreen monitor. The Klotz Digonomics CCE software enables the console to run all kind of third party control software and software applications on the Integra console. Once the display unit is installed the Integra augmented console is loaded with the Klotz Digonomics Control Center Engine (CCE) application software. The CCE software uses Microsoft Windows© as operating system and comes with a preset allowing for immediate operation. Any person skilled in CMS/HTML programming can easily adapt CCE to the user requirements. CCE provides a dedicated window for each application and shows status and offers control by touch screen of the software packages installed. Selecting and activating applications running on the console is done by scrolling the screen horizontally and touching the particular application required. All other windows show their current status even in the passive mode and can quickly be activated by a finger tip. Best possible system overview by external monitor of any commercially available size If it is required to get a more detailed overview, it is recommended to connect a standard external monitor in combination with keyboard and mouse to the Integra augmented console. A certain command executed by a special gesture moves any of the application windows to the external monitor screen – even to a 60” or bigger plasma screen – followed automatically by the keyboard and mouse. This feature allows operators to keep focus on their most important control applications on the external monitor screen and view and control all other operations on the integrated console monitor. Once the operator wants to change to another window, he can do this by just touching the particular application he wants to select and the external monitor changes its content within a blink of an eye. 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Only two different modules are necessary to set up any console with 4 to 32 fader strips. The console can be completed by the highly sophisticated monitor and telephone module which includes a central control unit for all DSP functions. Fader modules and monitor modules can be combined in any way and can be fitted with or without touchscreens monitors. Both, fader and monitor modules are mounted in two different frame sizes containing PC and PSU which are called the main console frames (MCF). The Integra console frames can be arranged inline or in split mode connected just by a single CAT5 cable. The MCF – which is needed only once in any console regardless of its number of channels – contains the PC, video interface, keyboard and mouse connectors and the PSU. Programmable illuminated buttons allow assigning any available source to any fader channel – an ultra-bright OLED display on each fader module makes it easy for the operator to keep full overview. Switching from one input to another or from one preset to another one can be done via a push button or via a soft button located on the touchscreen monitor. All previous settings including level, DSP settings and GPI formats follow automatically once an audio input is selected. If a new channel with a different volume level is assigned to a fader strip fitted with nonmotorized faders, flashing ON buttons indicate deviating volume levels. This function allows for a cost-efficient solution to control as many channels with one single fader strip as required. For highest comfort, professional motorized faders for full automation of input channels are available on request.
