A: No. The material cartridges have been completely redesigned and will not fit. Q: Do I have to use the GrabCAD Print software? A: GrabCAD is the only software on the F170 and F270 models, the F370 also includes Insight. Q: Can I record video of my prints with the new camera? A: No, the camera only takes still shots, does not collect the images and only shows the most recent picture. A time-lapse video capture is in the works, and planned for release later this year. Q: Is QSR similar to other Stratasys soluble support materials? A: Yes, it is the same formulation as SR-35. Q: What are the slice heights? A: 0.005, 0.007, 0.010, 0.013 in. (0.13, 0.18, 0.25, 0.33 mm) Q: Is Catalyst available on the F123 Series? A: No, GrabCAD Print is a replacement for Catalyst. It will print all layer thicknesses. Q: How is the head replaced? A: The complete head assembly is user replaceable with a simple process that takes less than a minute. Q: How long will a print head last? A: Heads will last for approximately 1500 hrs. of printing, about 1 year of average use. A warning replacement indicator will be shown after 1300 hrs. of use. Q: Can heads be used for both model and support? A: Yes, but once a head is used for model it can only be used for model until the end of its life. Same applies for a head used for support, it can only be used for support until the end of its life. Q: Are PLA heads different? A: Yes, PLA heads are gray in color (versus a black head for all other materials) and can only be used for PLA. Even though PLA does not use separate support material, a special cooling PLA head is put in place of the support head to cool the material as it prints. Q: What is draft mode? A: Draft mode builds 2x faster than standard build mode and uses 2/3 less material. Q: How much faster is the Fortus 380mc over the F123 Series? A: Early testing shows the Fortus 380mc builds approximately 10% faster.
