Numeric Keypad Products
IntuiTek™ Numeric Keypad Products from TouchSensor™ Technologies launch solid-state Field-Effect sensing technology in a portfolio of architectural quality numeric keypads used in building automation, security, vending and kiosk applications. The solid-state electronic design of Field-Effect technology is highly compatible with access control keypad applications, because it can reliably detect the presence of a human finger without the use of any moving parts to wear or fail. IntuiTek is currently offered in a 12-Key (3x4) configuration. IntuiTek is designed for indoor or outdoor installations, is offered with Matrix or RS-232 output, and features programmable audible and visual feedback for a customizable user experience.
IntuiTek keypad display graphics come in five pre-selected architectural quality designs, including a Brushed Metal center keypad with optional Carbon Fiber, Champagne Checker, Cherry Wood, Dimpled Silver and Earthtone Strata decorative metal trim rings. The keypad can be configured with white or blue LED backlighting, and the decorative metal trim ring supplied for NEMA Double Gang mounted applications enhances the overall vandal-resistance of the keypad, and resonates with the visual and tactile aesthetics of its surrounding environment.

Field-Effect™ sensors are digital, solid-state electronic devices that can detect conductive materials such as the human touch. The sensor’s patented cell design uses an integrated circuit (IC) that switches its output Numeric Keypad Products state when the conductive target is sensed. A TouchSensor™ Field-Effect cell is comprised of three main elements, the IC, a unique sensing electrode geometry, and two resistors. Moreover, Field-Effect requires no moving parts, software, or any other mechanism to make its sensing decision.
